We were fortunate to see you at the Strand in Redondo Beach a while back. In spite of the very rude audience it was a life changing, mind blowing event. You are a gifted man Mr. Marino. And you’re music has been a great gift to me! Praying for your health & happiness.

Hi Frank. I hope all is well with you. I have not been a long time fan. I’m 65 and remember hearing your first two albums at a friends house before he left for the Army and I joined the Navy back in late 1975. Fast forward to this year and I was going through YouTube videos to pick up some hints from live performances to learn some songs I could cover on guitar; and there was your live performance of Poppy. Wow. It was one of those moments when I had to give all my attention. It was mesmerizing. So now I’m a fan. I’m going to enjoy catching up on what I have missed all these years with regrets that it has taken me so long. Best wishes to you and your family.

I'm a guitarist who, at the age now of 69 is still learning new things and playing every day. Why is it that I'd never heard of Frank until recently!?
Just outstanding creativity. When you learn the rules, you through them away to make your own, right? I think from learning a bit about Frank's progression that he must have been still a teenager when he threw the rule book away! I also read that one of his early influences was John Cipollina...that's what got me interested.

I was especially sad to hear that he has had to retire because of an illness. Power to you Frank! I'm listening all the way from a small country town in Australia! Your playing is truly unique, powerful...emotional, melodic and just as awesome as it getssmile

To pick Eye Of The Storm as my favorite album was a tough choice as I love the music on many other FM&MR albums equally. It is, however, the album that marked the returning point of including Christ in my life. That such an important realization/event was brought on by none other than my favorite living musician and band added to the strength of my beliefs and security in my faith. That said, Frank, I truly hope and pray that whatever affliction has befallen you will not dampen your incredible spirit and that your recovery be swift and complete according to His will and plan.

With Heart,

Jeff Dollar

Frank marino is my guitar hero and always will be. My younger brother took me and our girlfriends to the St.Paul Civic center. to watch Frank Marino and the Mahogany Rush Band I never heard of them before. They were the warmup band for Golden Earing. I thought and so did the crowd Frank blew them all away including me. I was hooked from that point on and still am as I will always be. Hope you get better soon, and may the force be with you for eternity.

I listened to World Anthem in the 70's and still crank it up in my car along with the double live CD.
Stories of a Hero still the best guitar solo I have ever heard!
God bless you Frank. Met you and your family in Pennsylvania years ago and you were a humble and awesome man.
Be well..

Hi Frank, its such a pain to hear your having to hang up your guitars for a while. I say that because I am sure you will find therapies that enable you to produce music again. whatever the the issue is I would strongly suggest you consult a practicing naturopathic nutritional medicine practitioner. I trained and practiced myself for many years and witnessed remarkable results in many acute and chronic conditions. Look in to it frank there will be consultants near you I am sure. it may be that your not able to tour again or maybe just the odd small show but you could still return to being able to record! anyway don't just take the orthodox medical view as concrete...look to a naturopathic approach. anyway frank the DVD is astounding. Wow you really did a fantastic job on that...setting the standard for DVD music!
there's so much love coming your way. Take care

Hello, I am a huge fan living in El Paso Texas. Was planning to travel to Tucson to see your show on 11 October. I just found out about 10 minutes ago about your retirement. First and foremost I will say some prayers for your health improvement, sorry to hear the bad news. You were, have been and always will be one of my favorite guitars. My favorite album? “What’s Next.” Was hoping to someday get a signature on that CD. In the meantime be careful out there with this Covid crap. I’m hoping for the best concerning your health. God Bless.

Hi Frank!
Hopefully things are going well for you & your family amongst all the things going on in your life. Just finished some more readings of some interviews you gave, and am so bummed about your experience with SRV.. I'm hoping he couldn't hear you or didn't understand what was going on..lt surely doesn't sound like him to be rude to other musicians, but who knows.
Longtime fan here. I was introduced to your music in the mid 70's, and l could not believe your music..hard hitting, soulful, and very energetic. We would listen to your albums in the weight room for wrestling and football. Our coach did not approve, but let us lift to what we wanted.
My good buddy & class president in 1979, Kim N. also a HUGE fan, proposed our graduating class walk to 'World Anthem' instead of the traditional Pomp & Circumstance. We all voted, it passed, and history was made at Rainier High School in our small Washington town. It was awesome, and the school never again would let music be played until they reviewed it first! 😄 We all still talk & laugh about it at our reunions. It really was talked about!
Sending you healthy prayers for whatever has ailed you, for healing & goodness into your body, and for your love of music to continue to flourish for your soul.
And thank you for over 46+ years of cranking my Lp's, cassettes, walkmans, tapedecks, stereos, CD's, headphones, and now Blue ray..I can't see you in San Juan Capestrano in Oct, but l can see you jam anytime whenever l want..and my dogs don't appreciate it like l do!
Sending love & appreciation..
Be well.
