I was recently telling a friend about the best concert I ever went to and it lead me here. Frank was touring with Aerosmith (I think) in 79 or 80 (sorry, drugs have taken their toll) and his performance in Seattle was the best live show I have seen to this date. I just need to know where and when I can see him again. Please let me know if he is going to be any where near Seattle in the comming months, or if the DVD becomes a reality. I still listen to the "Live 1978" cd every summer, it takes me back to a better time. Thanks Frank!wink

Longtime Mahogany Rush fan. I saw two tours in San Antonio in the late 70's and thought Frank and the band were outstanding. I'm a entertainment lighting designer and owe a lot to my experiences during those years. My ability to translate music to color and motion is probably is a result of this experiencing this type of music and LSD.

What a beautiful album...real live! What a great guitarist you are,.
This music communicates and contemplates, the message is clear. It is in my player for a long time now.:- I have been a fan for 25 years now, and you are one of the best guitarist i know.

Became a fan in the 70's after my brother bought the live album. He never bought anymore albums[fool] but I certainly did. My daughter loves the live version of "Johnny B. Goode" and "The World Anthem." I recently bought

I have seen you three times over the years and every show was simply awesome! I can only say you had to be the most unrecognized, underrated, guitar player I've ever seen and that's probably a good thing as your music has always sounded like it was written for you and your audience and not the mainstream media. For what it's worth, there's a guitar player named Eric Sardinas (which you might want to check out) who I liken to you in that regard. Play for your fans, not the radio!!!

Well..... "favorite album" is actually an unfair question because it's hard to choose only one. I've only had the pleasure of seeing Frank live twice; in '78 at the Louisville Jam (KY) with Starcastle, Eddie Money, Journey, & Nugent, and more recently here in Indy in a club. It's hard to believe the '78 show was basically an all-day show for a mere 10 bucks! All these years later (and after listening to Frank's contributions to music hundreds if not a thousand times) it was HUGE to get an opportunity once again! I sat right next to the stage in front of him and that familiar SG, and came away near euphoric. And this sans ANY chemical help! I've never drugged or drank, as it's ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT THE MUSIC for me personally. An awesome show that is permanently etched into memory. Beyond all that, I was fortunate enough to have met him after the show and found him to be one of the most gracious musicians I've ever come across. Thanks so much Frank for your perseverance, humble & insightful words, signing my copy of TotU, and for passing along to me the only guitar pick that you used all evening. [Sorry to the guys behind me who witnessed my luck and about had a cow when there were no more to be had!] I'll continue to support Frank in the only small way I can and I just want him to know how much I appreciate all the great music he's shared. But most of all I want to say, genuinely, "THANK YOU" for allowing those few minutes I had with you to live up to my hopeful expectations. He's definitely a supreme guitarist, but he also seemed to be a great human being. I think that's what I'll remember the most......................

I've been a fan since 1978 when I saw Cal jam 2 on tv.Later I seen you live in 1987 in this dinky amusement park in a town called Moosic in Pennsylvania.Ronnie Montrose opened the show which only cost $2.00 to see,I was definitly stunned by that!Anyway both shows were fantastic and being in the very front I did take some good photos that I'll try to send to the web site.I hope I get another chance to see you LIVE again.Keep on rockin'Frank.

I've been a fan of Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush since the spring of 1975. I was a freshman in high school at the time, and rode a bus to Jacksonville, Florida, where I was picked up by some older friends who lived there. The purpose of my trip was to see Aerosmith at the Jacksonville Coloseum. The opening acts were Frank Marino and Henry Gross. It was an awesome concert and I've been a fan ever since. Those were the days of the 8 track, and I shared my experience with friends and helped to win more fans for the band.
Thanks,
Mike

I only saw MR once, but was very impressed and went out and bought Maxoom. They were the opener for Queen. The concert was in Feb of 1975 at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center. As the band was announced, someone walking down the aisle to his seat yelled, "Hendrix"!! MR opened with Purple Haze and closed with the Star Spangled Banner. Good show.

Well, well! We finally have a live copy of "Stories of the Hero" THANK YOU!!
You can tell the crowd was VERY responsive to that one. Superb into bit as well. Also, another great pick was "He's Calling" which recalls the stadium glory days of over-extended soloing (in a good way!!) The new CD is stunning, especially the production, I was very impressed!

As far as Juggernaut goes, I could not find this on CD for the longest time, I so I ended up burning a copy from vinyl to CD....it still is amazing!

Take care everyone worldwide!!! Michaellaugh

Dear Frank,
I just want to tell you that you are the biggest influence on my guitar playing. All though I can not play any of your songs, your attitude, emotion and soul are very deeply implanted into my style. To this day people say they hear you when I play and I must say I take that as a true complement. Please come to Atlanta soon. Your friend
Paul
