I saw Frank twice, once was my first concert. He was with Nazareth and Sammy Hagar in 1978. I saw him again 2 years later with Humble Pie and Mothers Finest. He's quite a guitar player! I saw him both times in Atlanta. I'm glad to see he's still jammin'!

Hey Frank-I'm really hoping you'll be able to tour soon and get down to the NYC area. Its been too long since the last time I caught you live but let me paint a picture. Its August of 1978 at Giants Stadium.I had recently seen your segment from Cal Jam 2 on tv and was stoked when you were a late added addition to the line-up of bands which including MR were Journey,Nugent and Aerosmith. You came on first around 11:30am in the pouring rain and just proceded to rip the shit out of that SG.You guys played for no more than 30 minutes but as far as I was concerned as well as many others, you guys ruled the day.I hadn't seen anything like it before or since.I went out the next day and bought the live album and wore it out twice along with the other Mahogony Rush albums available at the time. Before that show,I was playing guitar but from that day forward you showed me many possibilities that could be done(I used to put those records on 16 rpm in an attempt to figure some of that stuff out) and to that I owe you a huge thanks and I truly hope that 2005 is your year. Also I really hope that you know that even with all those bullshit 1/2 hour slots you were still reaching and affecting many. All the best.

Hello,
I have been playing guitar since i was sixteen (i'm forty now) and have a huge Hendrix inlfuence with a little Stevie Ray thrown in. I have been extrememly lucky to have had the oppurtunity to play with some outstanding musicians including Russell Jackson (who played bass for B. B. King) and Tony Coleman (who played drums for Bobby Blue Bland and also didi a small stint with B. B.). my favorite moment came when i had the oppurtunity to be a part of the James Cotton Band.
Anyway, what this is leading to is that i have been looking for another influence, something new that i could relate to. I found this site and was totally blown away. What a wonderful sound you have created Frank (my favorite right now is "Dragonfly" but i haven't made it through the whole site yet!!!!!!!!!!!). Your sound is exactly what i was looking for. i hope to put some Frank Marino sound in my new projects. I recently received my Guitar Player magazine and read the article they wrote on you. i hope all of your new projects are going well!!! Will you be coming to Austin (or surrounding cities) anytime soon? if so could you please let me know. i would love to come and see as well as hear that magnificent sound!!! Thanks Frank for being there. Your music is incredible!!!!!!! Hope to see you soon!cool

Bill and Marty checking in. We know man, we know. Frank is a facemelter. Dimeola, Beck, Mahavishu mother fucker, we know what's
up. I, personally, am a Dickie Betts fan, but when I want to knock my
dick in the dirt, I truly and intrinsically know where to fucking turn, dude.
Little story Pal. Saw Frank in Memphis, Midsouth Coliseum. Never mind.
Listening to the web site right now and getting balls blown off. What's
next. Loved by You. Sweet! Anyway saw Frank Christmas time in the
early 80's. Played "O Little Town of Bethlemen" with freaky harmonics.
Sounded like a symphony. Destroyed me.

Frank - Just wondering when you are going to tour again! I seen you
when you were here in Columbus many years ago , and the second time you came here it was cancelled due to a snowstorm, (still have the original concert ticket bro!) I have all your albums but my favorite one is Strange Universe.
Thanks for all the great music (past and present) ROCK ON!

Hi Frank and Willy!

Frank, just wanted to start with saying that you're one of the bigger influences in my musical choices, and one that stood the test of time, your music has been with me through the thick and thin, the easy times as well as darker and more difficult moments of my own psychotic version of "Mahognay Rush" also attributed to LSD use.

It's wonderful to see that you have a web presence and that your harder times with the industry are over for the Internet has arrived! Look forward to catching up on all the newer releases that I don't have!! Keep on keepin on Frank!!

I have never heard a song that just rips as SOMETHING'S COMMING OUR WAY. WOW....What a pleasure to listen to. I make it a point to listen to this tune at least once a day to get the old juices flowin. It not only gets the old juices flowin but makes the blood bubble. Coffee who needs stinkin coffee ...Just play this when you get up ..what a way to start the day....

I really dig Frank Marino's music.I dont believe any of that crap that hes ripping off hendrix. On the contrary I believe hes done something with that influence that is totally unique.I hear alot of cool stuff in his music including Jazz,Rock and Blues.I also believe he hasnt gotten the credit he rightfully deserves.Ive had the "Live" album for years and years.Recently,I bought the CD,I love the music, but I was dissapointed in CBS records, for the fact that they put no pictures of Frank in the insert, and kept the insert a total blank. All that bullshit can hurt any artist,he needs support and respect. Its not like CBS is going to go broke by putting pictures or artwork in an insert. If you want to sell more CDs to the right thing in regards to the artist.Hear is where the fans matter,by constantly requesting his music in any record store,or buying his stuff online.Sooner or later a new label will recogognize Frank as a musician, and sign him up.
Frank!!! if your out there reading this, good luck to you, and dont quit,,you are one great guitarist, and we all want to hear more of Frank Marino.Id like to see you come to New York and play some shows.God Bless!

I greet you Frank, and my compliments to you.
First hearing in '78 on the local radio. Was Johhny B. Goode and the Live was out in the shops (a couple of copies). I missed it but the overall electric wall sound remained to me a reference point in music in the following years.
Thank you.

I first saw you live back in 1978 and you wailed!I was thinking about trying to find your live cd from 1978 earlier today and then went to work and we were talking about guitar players. My boss asked me if I ever heard of Frank Marino.I gave him an ear full. Also,Frank Hannon of Tesla has a band he plays with when he's not on tour called Caleidascope. They do a cover of talking bout a feeling that's really good.If you ever come to Reno,Nvevada, please let me know.I would be there in a heart beat to see your show again.
