I,ve been a fan for more than three decades. I,ve seen more than 30 of your performances, including the one in a church, cegep St-Laurent, as well as one in a school basement during the Maxoom release period. Man I dont care what they say , I grew up in Montreal and heard the urbain legend about the hendrix spirit thing and frankly it was all bull what a tragedy. Even today I think that your where thw best guitar player ever to come out of the seventies, your originality and dexterity where incomparable. I will always remenber one of your concert at the cegep st-Laurent . I think the big album of the time was Pink floyd Dark side of the moon, and during your sound check you started the opening of One of these days and blew my mind with the ear you have , thank you for opening my ears to the guitar and thanks for the memories.

Dear Frank and the Group Members,
I bought your "Mont" REAL LIVE CD and I must say that this is the best recording production I have ever heard.(CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL)
I also would like to add that you are indeed one tremendous guitarist whose talent is too superior to others.
I have a great feeling that you will get your deserving merits well deserved.
I was unable to come and see you live at the "Hard Rock Cafe" due to my work schedule but I was fortunate enough to listen to you on the radio.
I am extremely happy for you and also excited that you will produce a "Blues CD" which will be totally original and all new material on top of that.Being from Montreal also and having followed your music since 1977 I have had the honor of seeing your shows on 3 occasions.
With each SHOW I ended up being in "AWE" on how much energy and tenacity you have when it comes to playing on stage.
I am very glad you have decided to come back with such "FORCE" and "DETERMINATION" and I really want to "WISH" you all the best with lots of "Health" and "Success"in the manner that you desire.
As far as the great song you wrote in your "POWER OF ROCK'N ROLL ALBUM" it stands so true today "YOU AIN'T DEAD YET" --------TAM TAM TAM TAM TAM TAM TAM... TAM TAM...TAM TAM ...
GOD BLESS!!!
YOUR FRIEND AND FAN
MARIO.

i first heard about frank marino and mahogany rush when i was looking at the lizards website. im only 14 and im a big fan of classic rock. I was interested where bobby rondinelli went to after BOC and i saw you guys in one of their picturs. i thought to myself if there cool enough to hang with the lizards they must be really cool. Then i realized that it was the other way around, that the frank marino band is awsome and whoever hangs out with them are cool. My friend got me a promo of frank marino and mahogany rush live on vinyl, and then i got eye of the storm on cd. I think that you guys are really really awsome and il be getting more of your albums. thanx ......smile

Dear Frank
I met you ,on the radio, in 1974,and I was shocked by your style.Being 19 years old at that time, and having a couple of years of experience playing the guitar I met you playing like I was hearing my music.Living in a comunist country ,at that time ,it was very hard for any youngster to think that playng the guitar as a carriere.I became a profesional guitar player for a perriod. The best of my life.
Finally,after 30 years I met you again,on the net.And your music.Thank you
for giving me back my youth through your guitar.Thank you

I find Frank a truely talented, gifted musician/artist and find inspiration in his music and words. But the main thing for me is that he is such an approachable person which is hard to find these days within the music industry.

So THANKS Frank. RealLIVE is a gem.

Frank has been an inspiration for me since I first heard the live album in the '70s (I'm listening to it right now). I have managed to incorporate some of his pentatonic acrobatics, to a much lesser degree of success, in my own playing. I hope to see him live someday.

I've been a fan for 30 years and have been fortunate to see Mahogany Rush twice; once in
1975 and again in 1978. I've worked as a professional bassist in the past and Mahogany Rush was a large influence in my playing. I'm Looking forward to hearing the new live album I just ordered and hope that Frank will play Live soon in the Tampa,Fl. area.

Hey my man Frank - wuz up? How many speakers can I blow up in a lifetime of listening to you? My first stereo speaks literally blew thru the top of the cabinet in 1974! And it was my all-time personal favorite "Child of the Novelty". Man - what an amazing gee-tar wizard you are. Thanks for the music - and if you ever need any "thongs" to throw out to the ladies in the audience - email me. tongue

Whoa, I had totally ignored this cool quest book... It was about time to have a peek...

Well, what can I say, from all the guitar players I've heard in my life, I think Frank Marino has the "biggest balls" in his sound and style. Haven't heard any dull solos from Frank so far. Well, maybe a couple on the first album but that was Frank at his teeny years anyway... crazy

I also like the way Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush has always left alot space for good drumming and bass playing as well. Too many times these guitar heroes limit their band mates freedom to give their best... I just love those Mahogany Rush jamming parts where the band lets it all loose and goes absolutely crazy!

I hope we Finns will one day have an opportunity to see Frank playing here again! If not, please release atleast a decent dvd we can order... smile

Back home from the Marines back in the late 70's, my buddy says, "Let's go to the Fox Theatre and see Frank Marino." I say, "Who?". He says, "Oh man. You're gonna like this guy." Boy was he right. I didn't know it was humanly possible to do to a guitar what I heard that night. Thanks, Frank.

Frank,

I've just hit my 57th bday and have been a fan for a LONG time. Ever since hearing Poppy, I always wondered if you would ever do an all instrumental album/CD. I was never much on words or lirics, just the music and your music stands far beyond most.

Thanks,

TDG
