Frank,

I just wanted to tell you I have been a fan of your since 1978 and I have every release of yours on cd (i finally picked up "what's next" on cd to complete my collection) and I recently finally got to see you live in Atlantic City, NJ a few months ago and I have been to 100's of concerts and you completely had me in awe especially "poppy". It was one of the 5 best concerts I have ever seen. You and your band were INCREDIBLE

Hey there Frank...been a huge fan since you played my high school in Hawkesbury. One of my best buddies, Larry Barron is actually Jimmy Ayoubs cousin. Saw you at the Hamilton Forum (long since gone) around '73 with pre-stardom Rush and a local band called Bullrush, (also long since gone). I sat with jimmy for the first two acts. Then you proceeded to blow the doors off everyone attending. Anyway just thought i'd drop a line. Hope all is well these many years later., yours in music Paul Lawrence

Just recently discovered Mahogany Rush... amazing! I'm always looking for 'unknown' bands and artists; specialy blues, psychedelic- and progressic rock from the sixties and seventies. This is top of the bil!

I'd say, time for a European tour!

Saw you play in San Antonio Texas in the 1970s-- a lifelong impression with your skill and power. Still kicking butt after all these years! If kids ever get around to listening to chops again, you'll be on top. The rest of us already know.

Well, hello!

I was just checking out this site and found out that you're only 2 years older than I am - sheesh - I thought you were older. All these years, eh?

I have been a fan since the early / mid '70s having access to CHOM and other Canadian radio of the time. Further, plenty of my (ahem) buds back then were into a lot of different music and I found yours.

Speaking of playing the schools, I was told that you played once at Mount Assumption High School in Plattsburgh? I was probably going to St. John's at the time. Missed any gigs you played there. Just missed The Chance show as well. Used to live in Albany.

I read that you've been clean for 35+ years? Awesome... I know I've partied down to your tunes for years but now have 26 years clean. Sort of been your route as well... That's great to hear - no patronizing intended.

Gotta tell ya (I'm a guy) and "Moonlight Lady" is one of the most beautiful songs of the time period. It ranks with "Little Wing" (Hendrix) and "Ballerina" (Trower) as equal partners. So, we guys can have a heart sometimes, yes?

Just wow... Finished listening to "Electric Ladyland", "Twice Removed From Yesterday" and "Strange Universe" just now. Who says one can't be young even in their 50's?

Be good and kick ass wherever you play. Keep the faith, the solution is in the journey.

Good evening Mr Marino,
Thank You for all the kick-ass music!!!
You've been succcessfully in making it difficult to pick a favorite album! That can not be said about alot of musicians or bands.
I like them all!!!!!!!
I have never seen you in concert and would like to. Mahogany Rush has been to Tulsa in the past, (remember KMOD?). Would you all please come to Tulsa? If you do, don't fall into the trap of playing the Cains ballroom. Book your gig at the Brady!!!! You'll have to, trust me on this, it sounds alot better and you can get a couple thousand in there.
I had a couple of questions for you. I've seen some footage of Mahogany Rush on Youtube recently. In one or two of them (dragonfly) it looks like your SG has the vol/ton knobs running along the bottom contour of the guitar body, do they? Is that a custom you had made for you?" Also do you play an SG that has it's pickups configured like the setup for a strat?
I'm listing to Tales of the Unexpected...
cool
When I lived at home my mom had her sewing room upstairs next to mine. I'd come home from school and put this or some other Mahogany Rush album on. When I would put Ozzy on she'd say, " what's wrong what happened today?" 'nothing.' "I don't like this put something else on." 'Like what?' "I don't know how about that one you really like." I'd put on Tales or Live maybe Child, "That's sounds sooo much better." Mothers they really are usually right! Today I have NO ozzy albums but I do have Mahogany Rush albums!!!
When I got back after Desert Storm I got together with a friend he played Double Live. Had it que'd to Poppy. "I said man who is this?" He just laughed and said "I don't know you tell me." I listened to it then the next song started he turned it down and looked at me and said " It's Frank!" He just started laughing and kept on driving. That was a long trip to and from the store!laughcrazy

Heavenly Father I ask you to bless Frank and all who have played in Mahogany Rush over the years. Those that listen to this music and have enjoyed it over the years, and who have been inspired by it. I ask that you would continue to bless them as well. May all who enjoy this music come to know Jesus the Christ and that their names would be written in the Lambs Book of Life. Continue to bless all with creativity and bless the work of their hands as well. I ask this in the Name of Jesus! Amen

Looking forward to more kickass music from you. Ever thought about doing a gospel album? Maybe a Christmas one?.
O little town...

Hear you soon.

This is awesome, I saw the live concert in 1978, Fresno Ca, Warners Theater. Twentyone years old then, Fifty now. Favorite album for a long time,I lost it somewhere back in the day.I almost forgot all about Frank Marino until I was looking for some tunes on the net. I got my new live cd today and listened to it twice in a row. I had to cool it when my wife came home but I`am going to the other room and play it again in a few minutes. I cant believe that i missed the show in Exeter Ca on Sep 27, fortyfive miles from here and four days before my Fiftieth Birthday what a killer time that would have been!!! When are you coming back to this area, central CA ?

Thanks for many years of keeping up the music that I have always loved. I am a little younger and grew up after Hendrix died, but I did grow up listening to and playing his music. I had a chance back in the late 70's or early 80's to see the band at Harra arena in Dayton, Ohio. What a show.
I am glad to know you are still rocking and hope to see you play again around here sometime in the near future.
