New to M.R and Frank, Born 1971, I missed the train long ago looks like. Nice to hear though, A Breath of Fresh air, in a dead musical world.

John 3:16 - For God So loved the world that he gave his only son so that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

everyone is counting the days intil Frank hits JAXX in Springfield, VA!
Saw the last show there at Jaxx and it was awesome. Got some good pics but this time I'm leaving the camera behind (close behind though) and concentrating on the man and the music.
cool

Hey Frank,

I saw you in Holywood, Florida about 25 years ago and your truly blew my mind! You came out in a white suit after Humble Pie and Mother's Finest and just blew the roof off of the place. If you are able, there are a bunch of us here in Raleigh Durham, North Carolina that would love to come see you if you add any dates in our area.

Rock On Man!!

Pete

I'm laying on the floor in an altered state of mind and a friend puts on a piece of vinyl from some band I never heard of. Moonwalk begins to fill the air, I seem to be floating away and I realize I have finally found the music I have been searching for. That was 1977. Frank's music has been a great influence in my life and touched me in ways no other band or musician has ever done. I proposed to my wife (unfortunately now ex-wife) while dancing to Moonlight Lady love Even now with two daughters of my own I find myself tearing up when I listen to Since You Came Into My Life. This website has been a blessing, love to blast out Frank at work. Thanks to Willy for a great website and many, many thanks to Frank. Sad to say sad the only time I've seen you was late 70s at the Cow Palace. Can't wait to see you in October in Santa Cruz laugh
Warm wishes........ David

laugh Glad I found your site. Frank, I was in one of your performances in Austin, Texas, in a place named: SNEAKERS. I took my wife Sharon with me because I anted her to experience one of my very favorite musicians: Frank Marino. I wanted to get you autograph, but there seemed to be what looked like 'Body Gaurds', or something, anyway I am gld I got to see you perform in person. 'The Worl Is A Stage', 'Lady' are my favorites, I had the album (in wax-LP), and I've been looking for it, and I can't find it, I used to play in a Rock n Roll club a worked at as a DJ, way back when. Thanks for your Rockin-Guitar-Playin! Chacon.

I guess I've been out of it, I was delighted to find out that Marino had a site.
My brothers and I have been listening to Frank since 1976 when a close friend of mine that knew that I was into Hendrix and Trower told me about him. I was so excited about his music that I probably wore out the Strange Universe album under some interesting influences!!! I've seen Frank many times and I get goosebumps every time I hear him play. I have also tried several times to meet him after a show and I never succeeded, but I took some great pictures of him. As a guitar player I was so much influenced by him that my first electric guitar was a cheap copy of an SG. I tried to play his music through that guitar for years, and even now, I still think that a cherry mahogany SG is one of the coolest electric guitars, Thanks Frank. I have also heard that Frank makes his own effects for his pedal board, boy I wouldn't mind a sneak peak at that baby. About the story of him being on acid and coming out of it playing like Hendrix, we have also heard that story here in southern California.
I still blast Frank's music at home and in my truck and I have two girls, a seven year old and a one year old that love his music, specially Strange Dreams!! (Yeah, I had some of those too). My wife also loves his music and for one of our Anniversaries I took her to see Frank in Santa Barbara.
I will be seen Marino here in southern CA. when he comes in October and I'm hoping to meet him, and by the way, who is backing up Frank on this tour?
Take care Frank and keep on rockin' man!!
A devoted fan,
"Hiwatt" Carl

Pity that there is no Live-DVD from ya performance ! For example, the concert in 1978 (Montreal) ! Yer one of the best.
