Regretably, it's been a long time since I listened to Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. Probably since I put my albums in the basement. But I was at a freinds in Vancouver recently and we were talking about shows we saw while in high school. And we both agreed that one of the best was Mahogany Rush. I think it was at Garden City Arena in St. Catharines, Ontario around 1978. So we pulled some albums out of HIS basement and listened to a lot of Frank. Needless to say both of us are now going to local record stores looking to replace the old vinyl with c.d.'s. And it really hasn't been that easy. But I'll be going to Toronto soon and I know that the record stores there have a much beter selection. I just wanted to drop a line to say sorry about slipping away. But I'm glad to be back and I'm hoping you tour around here someday because there is no doubt I'll be there.

What can I say! I am a collector of fine music and have amassed about 1500 albums. There are only about 20 groups/artists that I will seriously collect... Frank Marino is one of them. I am happy that Frank has not entered the mainstream - my belief is that when you go there, you sell short, leaving your principals behind.

The one thing that I'm missing is seeing him live. I've got a family and am tempted to go to Cleveland... the closest venue. Heck, I'll even go to Montreal.... but Cleveland??? Can't you at least go to Detroit???

Still a fan... don't sell out.

By the way, I heard a track from on the radio... and I said... Oh me gosh... Marino is alive.... It turned out that it was Lenny Kravitz.... What's going on? He sounds like Marino circa 1978!!!

See you in Cleveland...

I've little hope that Mr. Marino will recieve this and I feel slightly silly signing a guestbook, but I've recently discovered your music and gotta say you're up there with Andre Segovia in terms of legitamizing the guitar as a real compositional instrument. What Segovia did for the guitar in the early 20th century, I believe you've done in the late 20th c. and today.

Hello there,

Since i first heard the album Live 78 i'm a big fan of Frank's work. Now i bought Real Live and it's even greater. So i was very glad that he was announced at the Arrow Rock Festival in Lichtenvoorde (Holland). I immediately bought tickets because it was the first time i could see Frank live on stage.
What a pitty that this was cancelled.
Does somebody knows when Frank comes toe Europe and especially to Holland ??
Keep on Rocking, Harrie
