i saw frank marino back in the late 70s or early 80s, aerosmith was the headliner but frank should have been. his music has so much heart and power. it was at the greensboro coliseum which took around 2 hrs to drive to. believe me when we got 10 miles out of greensboro, there werent any fans on the trip home, just country folks who didnt know what they missed or even cared. i have tried to get tickets to see frank and hes always sold out. is there any dvds showing frank in concert available ? keep the rock a rollin and keep frank making his incredible music. a true fan !!!!!!!!!!!!! david

My husband saw you at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach OCT 06 and he can not stop talking about the show! He wants to know how you shred so fast - don't you get carpel tunnel?! Anyway he has been a long time devoted fan of you, Robin Trower, Pat Travers and Ronnie Montrose. You all seem to share a common bond - you chose music freedom over commercial success and for that we both thank you!

My favorite songs of yours are "Ride My Own Wave" and "King Who Stole The Universe". The one time I saw you at the Bachanal in San Diego (years ago) my ears hurt so bad I was almost crying! But I could appreciate your talent then and still do today. cool

Brand new 54 year old fan! God bless Internet radio - there I was listening to Live365 when this amazing guitar sound came on. When I saw the name I Googled it and found this site. Having listened to some of the samples I went right over to Amazon and ordered up a bunch of CD's. Can't wait for them to arrive. Its great to find a new source of such wonderful stuff!
Frank, get on the Summer tours of Europe (all those jazz festivals) and give us a chance to come see you live!

All the best from a new Irish fan living in Switzerland.

Cheers, John.

My first ever concert I ever saw was Mahogany Rush at the Palais Montcalm in (if memory serves me correctly) the fall of '71/'72.

I was in the third row center, and had always been a Hendrix fan. The one thing that I never really "got" about Hendrix was the volume involved in his music. Remember, I was only about 14-15 at the time.

I think it took me two days to get my hearing back after the show. laugh

It was a great concert, and I enjoyed it.

I also took in one of your shows at Place Des Nations, in the late Seventies.

In a forum board I participate on, someone had started a thread about "What was your first concert ? " In trying to find a way to introduce Mahogony Rush to people, I stumbled across this site.

Just wanted to say thanks, finally, for all those good times - and great music.

Ever since I first heard Mahogany Rush back in the 1970's I have always maintained that Frank Marino is one of the top five guitarists in the world and that Mahogany Rush is the best Canadian band ever. I'm happy that you're still rockin & rollin, Frank, and I sure wish you'd head out west and rock Victoria. cool

I first discovered Frank in High School in the mid 80"s. I always knew about Jimi, and Robin Trower, But when I first listened to mahogany Rush, I was hooked. I have seen Frank live a few times.I have since become a born again Christian and don't go to many concerts anymore. But I can't wait to see Frank again soon. Hope you come to the Chicago area in 07'. God Bless you all Galen.
