Hey Mr. Marino, Really dig your music. I would love to see play. But I'am stuck in the south. The rock in roll station is really not rock in roll if you know what I mean. I'am badly need of dvd or vhs so I can see you play. I got to see you work your magic.Thanxs for bringing your music into my life. Sincerly ' Stuck in the South , Matt.

I just want to say that you are the man!
I know that Seattle was unkind.......but you and the band got us
through some rough shit in the late 70's!!!
Keep it up and get to the northwest soon!

I have been a fan since I was a kid working at Mr. Pizza's with Jo Anthony. (remember him) I met you there as a kid and have been a fan since. I have ordered the new Live cd, but I would love to see a "full" concert dvd. no shortcuts, but a full Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush concert! you gotta to come to San Antonio......this is where part of live 1978 was recorded.

I signed in about a month ago, and I would like to add a few things about Frank's music that I didn't mention the first time around. In addition to being a huge music fan I'm also a competitive marathon and ultramarathon runner. Needless to say, I have to have my music when I head out on a long run and it seems like Franks' music was tailor-made for this purpose. It just keeps coming at you and provides real inspiration when things get tough. I mean, even the names of some of the songs say it all. My "Dragonfly" playlist has what I consider to be some of the best motivational tunes there are. To hell with "Rocky" and "Start me Up." "Finish Line," "You Got Livin' ", "Ain't Dead Yet", "juggernaut", "Heat of the Moment","Midnight Highway" just to name a few, can get me rollin' like nothing else. Sometimes it makes me run faster than I would like! I also have "Moonlight Lady" and "It's begun to rain" on there just to mellow out a little. I also finally got around to getting "RealLIVE!" I definitely waited too long to get my hands on that. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to see Frank live one day, but in the far-flung reaches of Montana good concerts are hard to come by. In the meantime, I'll keep running hard and have plenty of Frank's music to keep pushing me. All the best to the many other dedicated Frank Marino fans out there! Peace out and rock out! Mark R. The first time I heard Frank was like the first time I heard Jimi because the sound caught my ear and turned my head around. Something different- Something special.

That was back in '77, and since then we've all come and gone a long way, but Frank is still the Best.

His music has been (and is still) touching your mind, body, and soul.

One word: Goosebumps !!!

I always thought it was such a joke when Frank was 2nd fiddle to some Lame Act like "Heart." How can any band even take the stage after Frank, it has to be embarassing for the other bands.

Frank Always Deserves Top Billing, but somethings never change.

He's been underated and underappreciated by the Press, Promoters, and the Music Industry. Face it - The guy is a Musical Genius!

Humans only get one Marino (or Mozart) every 2 or 3 hundred years.

The last will be first and first will be last. ...... Keep it.

I first heard of Frank Marino when my older sister gave me his T-
shirt when I was 12. So naturaly I stole her albumcool. And I was blown away. She liked the Bay city rollers(yuck). So lets put it this way;A T-shirt and a liberated album = A lifetime of fulfilling musicfrom a pure genuis.I am in a punk band and have been since I was a kid but Frank I have to say , you have not only been an influence on me and many of my friends. You have been a testament to what Rock "n" Roll os all about.By the way DRAGONFLY is one of the best songs ever written.Love ya man don't ever quit .Like my young son says ; "Frank Marino rules". Much love and thanks man. Rock On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey! I saw you open for Ted Nugent in the late Seventies. I joined the Marine Corp and had a lot of expendable cash so I bought lots of record (that have since disappeared). In the 80's I got into really heavy music like Slayer, Voi Vod and all kinds of death metal stuff. Now I'm all grown up and I'm into this retro music kick where I'm buying all the old stuff I used to have. When talking about "Back in the Day" music, I always mention Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. None of the little punks have ever heard of you. Then I play Tales of the Unexpected for them and they're like "Wow! That guy rips!"

The first time I heard Frank & MAHOGANY IT CHANGED MY LIFE the first time i saw Frank & mahogany in concert the music and overall feeling put forth !!! MAHOGANY RUSH entered my soul and has been dwelling there ever since I have seen MAHOGANY RUSH many times, but not in many years ,the most memerable performance had to be Texas jam II Frank didn't come on until about 2:00 a.m. because ted & steven hogged all the time I saw Frank backstage with a black gibson SG set up for wireless input and was having trouble with it so he plugged in MAHOGANY and hit the stage the theme that night was 3rd stone from the sun ,I think that had a lot to do with it sticking with me so clearly all these years. hope to see you in Quebec in july & let us know when your going to hit Texas again. Lots of Marino freaks down here and the biggest marino freak of all !! BIG SCOTT !!

I first witnessed the talented energy on six electric strings that is Frank Marino in March of 1978 at the Cal Jam show. There were about 300,000 of us maniacs in attendance that weekend,I was 15 and halfway back in the crowd, about a good hundred yards or so. It was my first gig ever and I really dug most of the groups there. I had this vinyl record of Mahogany Rush Live which I had recently purchased and upon hearing that they were one of the bands to play, I just had to go. Until that time I had never been to a concert before, as I said . Near the very end of the show is when Mahogany Rush was to perform. Aerosmith had just rocked our heads and I knew what a treat we were in for next. What then blew my mind was that 250,000 freaks got up and left after Steven Tyler and the boys took their last bow. Wow, was I amazed and really bummed out at the same time. On one hand I was glad to see my 100 yards away view suddenly change to only 50 feet away now, but I thought to my much stoned self, Hey you guys can't go, your'e going to miss Frank. Apparently not as many of my fellow longhairs knew about Frank as I had thought. I mean all my buddies and I were spinning the albums all the time, but not most of the Cal Jammers. Too bad for them, good for me and my pack, it was certainly the best part of the experience for me and I'll not forget it. I have only seen the band once since then, it was 1995, I think and I was blown away that the magic was even better. I don't know if this 2005 tour includes The Majestic Ventura Theatre again, but I'll be watching for the news.
