From the great state of Georgia where Mr.Marino made many a visit during the 70's.....It was my pleasure to see the man play on 3 occasions; twice at the OMNI in Atlanta (one very good show, 2nd not so good...something called "Rock N Roll Marathon")....The best was the JUGGARNAUT tour stop in a small club outside Atlanta....Basically set on the edge of the stage and watched the man play for over 3 hours....And that's been it since 1983!!! I remember some boob spilt an entire pitcher of beer all over Frank's elaborate pedal board....But he never missed a beat.....

Recently received the REALIVE set.....Impressed with alot of it, but a little disappointed in the choppiness of the setlist.....My humble opinion: should have released the whole show start to finish even if it would have taken 3 discs, not only to mark the event, but to make the fans who still appreciate this musician after all the years (and might never see Frank live again) part of it also.....

A DVD release of one of these club gigs would be a culmination for his fans...

Frank, I grew up listening to your music and will never forget the first time I ever heard your live album back in the late seventies. It was so different from what the newer bands were coming out with, radio songs. I've been playing guitar since I was 12 yrs. old, being 41 now. You were and still are one of my greatest influences for song imagery, writing, and structure. When I saw you at the Omni in Oakland, CA, back in the 80's, I thought that you were becoming tired of the business because you had cut your hair and played mostly leads as the backing band handled the music. I remember seeing you on Don Kirshners rock concert on TV back in the 70's and being in awe of this "hippie looking dude shredding some Hendrix". That was and still is the image that I'll always have of you. I still need my guitar heroes and you will always be one. I'm so glad to see that you're still shredding. Peace brother, Andy Billy.

I am privelaged to have started to listen to Frank Marino twenty odd years ago and do still to this day, I play the guitar and realise where he has gone, to a level of spiritual disbelief. Frank has taken his music and the guitar to levels beyond imagination, his ability to take the listener to another sphere and out of this world is amazing. Frank you are truly unique and a guitar hero that this world will never see again, you fly high, where only eagles can fly.

May the gods of nature bless you , as you have blessed us with your music.

frank I've never untill today heard you play, I learned of you through the comments about you made by another extraordinary shredder zakk wylde. He credits you in interviews and publications as a force of his playing directions. Did you know he was a fan of yours? I hope you've met him or communicated with zakk, and I share his opinion of your playing. live long and play frank.

There are simply things in life that remain ingrained in your mind for an eternity, and among those was my first Mahogany Rush concert at Massey Hall in Toronto. Many thanks go out to Frank and those that have passed through Mahogany Rush over the years for the countless hours of listening pleasure.

By the looks of it, Real Live is the start of another journey for Frank and Mahogany Rush and what better way to start that journey than with a masterpiece -- not that it has been anything but, in past offerings.

Hello Frank

I listened to your music for many years. All began the day I bought California Jam. The two songs from that album are my favourites. Best Wishes. Javier

I have been playing for almost 40 years. You have influenced my playing more than most, with that rare ability to transition from your inimitable rock riffs to the most mellow jazz progs. Having you back is a real treasure for us that play, as you will no doubt influence many millions more, this time around. Thank you for your contribution to the art of the guitar.

Frank, I love you. A friend of mine introduced me to your "Live (1978)" album around 1978 when I just started college. I'm a pretty accomplished guiter player who loves Hendrix, Trower, SRV, etc., but when I heard THAT album, I thought, holy sh*t! This guy is like Hendrix on steroids!!! I met you in 1990 (?) and interviewed you for a local rock magazine. They foolishly never published my article or photos (typical!).

I was thrown a curve ball by you on the "Eye of the Storm" CD when you accuratly presaged the "storm" of 9/11!! You have a real gift, Frank. A God-given blessing. May you keep using it, and continue to inspire the likes of me and countless others.

With much love and respect,

Michael from Milwaukee

Holy sheep sh**!! Just acquired your Real Live set. Nothing but "REAL" awesome!! Disc 1 is simply phenominal. Disc 2 goes a little overboard on the short little jams, but it's tolerable. Should've put Ditch Queen and Maybe it's Time from the Juggernaut cd on that side. Saw you once in Georgia when I was in the Army. You opened for Nazareth, if anybody can believe that!! You made Nazareth look and sound like beginners in the R&R world and this was right after their Hair of the Dog popularity time frame. Keep on rockin', Frank. You still have the touch!! C-ya!!
