Favorite album? trick question there! Frank you HAVE to come back to Texas! Believe me...we're ready Saw you for the very first time at the first TEX(X)AS JAM back in ' 78 I had been impressed by Ted Nugent's performance...but (and that's a big BUT) once you hit the stage,we were mesmerized by your sheer playing power! It simply amazed us. Have seen you on three other occasions in the D/FW area since then, and am MORE than ready to see you again. You've just gotta come back,I know i'm not the only fan here in TEX. that is ready to see you again! So come on back...PLEASE, A S A P I'll never forget ya'll doing "Man AT The Backdoor" in the Cotton Bowl it made definite Marinoheads out of two STONED teenage boys. Now twenty six years later and I still crank your music up LOUD! I have your autograph from a show in a small club in Fort Worth proudly displayed in my home...for that and the thrill of your music i give you a heartfelt THANKS !

When I started getting really interested in music I was wowed by Rush. I would mention this to some of my dad's friends and they would always ask me,"Mahogany Rush?!" I had no idea who Mahogany Rush was! I only recently watched some old video footage and I can honestly say I should have checked into who Mahogany Rush was back then!!I think it was a concert in France in 1978 that I watched. Frank- Jimi may have influenced you but your heart and fire shine through the music you play. I am trying to teach myself how to play the bass presently because I want to play what makes me feel good.

I have been a fan of Frank Marino and Mahogony Rush since I was a kid and teen in the 70's. I will be 40 in October, and though there is still some good music today, the music of the 60's- mid 80's was the best to me. My fav. albums are Strange Universe and Whats Next. I have played guitar for years and am in a band and wish more guitarists would have the creative genius and playing intensity of people like Frank Marino, Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, etc. Keep on rockin Frank! I also support your views on the music industry. Maybe we can all change it. smile

The last Frank Marino that I heard besides this great teaser today was the album The Power of Rock and Roll. I have Whats Next on 8 track and treat it very carfully as your albums are impossible to find it seems. I still crank up these great albums, what a ride! I'm glad your still out there!

I am so glad I found this site. Frank, you guys are probably the most underrated band of ALL TIME . My 1st album was IV, because the band i was in at the time, I am a drummer by the way, was doing "Dragonfly" & then " The Answer" & I was completely blown away. I was then lucky enough to see you live in Orlando in 1977 at the World American Music Festival , in the Tangerine Bowl, along with, Brownsville Station, Blackfoot, Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent &,Aerosmith, again I was blown away.At the time Ted was my guitar hero, but after the sound thrashing you gave him on stage that night , I emerged with a whole new respect, & lifetime admiration for you guys. To this day I still religously play, strange universe, world anthem, what's next in my tape deck ...please come to florida soon ---thanks

Dude, you're one of the main reasons I've been playing guitar for 20+ years now! Thank you! And don't stop, please! smile I love that you guys have managed to stay so unique over the years! Just the best of pure rock and roll is my definition of FM and MR! Whats Next is the record that did it for me! Ok, I'm done now... smile Thanks for the inspiration!!
