I think back with fond memories of the first time I saw Mahogany Rush. It was 1974 I believe, I was in a band that was lucky enough to front Mahogany Rush on a couple of shows. I hear everyone speak of how friendly they are. Well, it's true. This was the biggest thing we had done at the time. The guys in the band took time to chat with us and the road crew was wonderful to us. They helped us all along the way. I remember the M&M Peanut contest backstage with Jimmy West, Pete Melrose and Patrick Burrows. Pete Melrose even came to see us later when we were gigging in Montreal up on Crescsnt St. I had always loved a Coca-Cola after a gig and was thought of as kind of a "Coca-Cola connoisseur" by the members of our band. I must admit I met my match with Frank Marino and everyone in our group agreed! And the music. I can still remember standing backstage as Mahogany Rush went on. I didn't expect what I heard. It was just unbelivable! "How do he do that??" The guitar work was amazing and Jim and Paul were great too. So much power from just three. I have followed Frank Marino's career and have most of his albums. I still listen to them all the time. The band I was with no longer exists. I have done a couple of albums and still continue to compose music. While what I do is not quite the same style as Frank I have always considered him an inspiration and will never forget that time back in 1974. Thanks for all the great music and I await you new album. Hope we meet again sometime.

Last seen and hear from Frank at my Sophmore year of college's Spring Weekend field show, where he shared the bill with the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn. This was a guitar show my acid soaked head could never shake. Frank did star spangled banner ala Hendrix and I was BLOWN AWAY !!! I have noy heard a blessed thing about him since and half the jackasses I went to school with had never heard of him before that fateful day. Is Frank Still alive and playing ??? Where can I experience his magic again ???

Just found this homepage today. I am one of few people out here who know Frank's music. I'm always lobbying to play Mahogany Rush tunes in my band. At least I get to do Midnight Highway. Frank seems to be a really good guy, too. My friends and I were lucky enough to help out at a show with Ronnie Montrose in 1986 at the Colony Ballroom in Chicago. We got to meet and talk to Frank and Vince. So you know, Frank, I began playing music because of you and Magic Sam. I'm also glad to know there are other fans out there.

frank marino... once, a long time ago i was at this concert. i don't even remember who the headliner was. it doesn't matter. suddenly the lights go down and this strange kind of funk enters my ears. MOONWALK explodes into my head full of acid and it has stayed there to this day. THAT IS THE POWER OF ROCK AND ROLL. Never was a Jimmi Hen. fan all that much. Even after seein' him in Sea. Wash. all those years ago. Thanks Frank for taking it all that much further. Your relationship with that axe is truly unequaled. get out here to vancouver and put an end to all the bad mouthing that the radio "shit for brains" DJs put on ya, those needle dick wimpy mommas boys that wouldn't know a power cord if it was layin pipe on their old ladies. Dont make me have to tell ya twice. I've been a serious fan for a very long time. Try to understand, BRIAN FREEKIN ADAMS MAN!!! The suffering for shit-kickin' R&R is both cruel and unusual punnishment. Get out here and put on a small type venue and lay on us an ear splittin', soul grippin' show...... i'd go...HEY!!!GO STRANGE...OH,wait...I already did. out-W.

dear frank : you were my greatest inspiration when i was a young man. you are easily the best guitarist i have ever seen. i first saw you at the bicentennial jam in rockford. ill.,"red house" was truly awesome. i did manage to see you perform 5 times and you had acouple of shows cancelled which was definitely a bummer. but the one day i will never forget in my life is 07-01-1977. that day was my 18.th birthday and i caught your show at the aragon ballroom in chicago. it was the best time you had everybody screaming and jumping on the edge of their seats for almost the entire show. It is really great to know you are still out there doing what you do best. can't wait for the new c.d. and am thrilled that the old ones are starting to surface. please try to make it down to southern wisconsin this summer or very soon. keep the faith frank.

Frank is one of the most talented and innovative guitarists that I have ever witnessed. Frank is also very approachable when it comes to discussing music with his fans. Hope to see you touring in California some time soon.

The one and only, FRANK. First saw him on a TVO show in the mid seventies, I was about 9 years old-totally blown away. Later bought a collection of albums from a friend bonus scoop- Juggernaut. Totally sold on the man as being the best of all time. Then I went to see him live at Entex in Missassuaga. Sold for eternity. Since then have seen him four other times and have been methodically collecting every sound byte of Frank that I can. I am currently waiting for 'From the Hip' and 'World Anthem'. Pure electric excitement runs trhrough my viens knowing I will have some new tunes. Waited a year for 'Full Circle'-Had Enough? Please tell me that he is still touring. Tried to get hold of him at the Studio-Mr.Marino? No go. Just found the web site tonight. This is Awesome. When is the next convention and where is it? Will travel almost anywhere to see the man play. He is the man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Frank , If you get this I would love to meet you . Your the breast.

Dear Frank, What a pleasant suprise to find out you are still aroundand making music . I have been trying to find out whathappened to you since the early 80's and no one I talked to seemed to know. I thought you might have died or something, and the media didn't pay too much attention - much like they always did !! As a guitar player since 1969,I never could figure that out, since your music seemedto be way above and beyond anything for it's time. Also, courtesy of this site, I see that you've created more musicsince then, which no doubt will be better than what I havein my collection. I"m looking forward to hearing it, andI wish you the best in the future. May God bless and prosper you and yours ! Sincerely, Clint Black 824 C st NW Ephrata, Wa. 98823

It was one year back in the 70s when a friend and I were going to a Styx concert in Baton Rouge, and I ask my friend who was playing with Styx? He said Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. I replied are they any good? He says are you crazy? They Jam!. So later we went to the Styx concert and when the lights had dimmed, I witness one of if not the best gutair players, I had ever heard. since then I have tried to find any information I could find. you see I don't know who's faster Frank or the gutair. everytime I went to a record store everything with frank was sold out. so now I'm finally on line and found your web site . Man! I'm ready for this adventure.
