Hello Frank, I'm 43 and have been rocking with you since Maxzoom, over in Germany. It was a parting time in my life and you helped all of us through the routine of being in the service. Keep it up, we believe in you.

Wow..I thought they disappeared..good to see some people still appreciate such an awesome guitarist. The las time I saw them was at the Cow Palace in S.F. in '80...best show I've ever seen. My page is dedicated to Mahogany Rush also, but I'm almost embarrased to say anything...this page puts mine to shame..but! I'm keping mine 'cuz I like Frank so damn much, and this is my way of honoring him. ......very fine....

I've been a Frank fan since first hearing Child of the Novelty in high school. I turned on many friends and family to Frank over the years and all became fans. I have seen Frank many times and there is nothing to compare to it. Most recently I've been catching his shows at Club Bene in Sayreville, NJ and hope to see him again there and elsewhere soon. I too would like to see the rest of the albums released on CD and am looking forward to a new album. Thanks to Frank for the great music and memories over the years. A big time fan forever!!!!

I've been an avid fan of Frank Marino & Mahagony Rush for over twenty years. I agree with Willy in that Frank should get more recognition that he has received in the past. I wold like to see Frank do an all Blues CD as well, much the same as Robin Trower reciently did (Sometimes Blues). One question I have is, Does Frank still build race engines? What's Next is one of my favorite albums. I'm also a drag racing fan & go when I can. It was very refreshing to come accross this site dedicated to one of rock's greatest guitarist. Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Tom George

In the mid to late 70's, "Frank" and "Marino Freak" were commonly used terms at my highschool. And in my circle of friends, everyone knew exactly what these terms meant!!! Daily, we talked about Frank Marino like he lived down the street from us!!! Strange Universe was my first exposure to Mahogany Rush about in 1975. I was immediately hooked. "Land of 1000 Nights" burned up my 8 track player! Even to this day, I listen to Frank Marino almost daily. I have secured almost every album and CD that is available. I have seen Frank play live about 14 times in Houston, Dallas, Albuquerque, and LA. It was very common in the 70's when Frank opened for another band like Aerosmith, Nazareth, Nugent, etc., we always left as soon as Mahogany Rush played their set. We didn't even bother watching the other bands because no one compared to Frank Marino! In closing, once in 1977, I sat in Algebra class at the University of Houston knowing I was missing one of Frank's shows at the Music Hall in Houston. I felt so guilty, at 9:00PM, I jumped up and grabbed a friend of mine and ran out of class. We hopped into my truck, went and picked up our girlfriends, drove 50 miles at 90 miles an hour to the Music Hall in Houston. We convinced security we had lost our ticket stubs, ran in about 10:30PM and watched Frank play his last encore song, "Purple Haze". By 10:45PM we were already back in the truck, driving home. My friend Tony and I were blown away as we though what a great night this was. Our girlfriends looked at us like we were crazy!!! I'll be a Frank Marino fan forever!!!!!!

I believe I heard Frank Marino for the first time was in 1973. I too was blown away..... I still declare to this day that he IS the best guitar player in the world. Although like u said he never has gotten the recognition that he deserves, he continues to amaze me to this day. I have alll his albums and have seen him live about 7 times throughout the years. Its funny how when you hear other famous guitarist being asked who their idols were u never hear any of them say Frank. The Eddie Van Halens, Nugents, and other known guitarists cannot hold a candle to Marino. The last time he was around here was about 4 years ago i believe at a club called Hammerjacks in Baltimore. He was incredible!!!! They literally had to pull him off the stage, it was his first gig on his tour that year and played for 3 hours and was still going strong but they pulled the plug..... ANY info you have on him touring here in Maryland this year, please send me ASAP...I greatly appreciate it. Im dying to see him again and have turned numerous friends of mine onto him. Any info u have, please send me. Thank u, kevin

Frank ,where are you?! Hope to see you soon on tour again. I pretty much have "From the Hip" wore out....and can't wait for a new disc. Been listening since day one, and have all the lp's and CD's that are available. I would kill for the rest on CD.... especially to hear "Ditch Queen" in digital, cranked up to 11!!! Somebody needs to kick CBS in the butt! Just bought the "Best of" CD on Razor and Tie Records to hold me over. Have lots of fond concert memories.....(fun to watch Frank blow the headliners off the Stage....I.E. Aerosmith) and thought I'd died and went to heaven during the 80 headline tour with Angel and Humble Pie. Them were the days. Kick ass tour with Ronnie Montrose in 86....and lucky to see the 89 show in Minneapolis. Would love to have you play the big 4 day outdoor festival in Cadot, Wisconsin this coming June. (Annual Classic Rock Festival) May even be able to help with the arrangements! Please e-mail if even a remote possibility. Thanks for the great page Willy! Long live the un-disputed heavy weight champ of guitar... Frank Marino! KC

Been jamming, and I mean jamming to Frank's music since High School back in the late 70's. A true Guitar god. Only saw him live once, and that was on Cal Jam I or II on the TV. Hope to see him in-person someday.

I've been a big fan of Mahogany Rush ever since I picked up the LP "Child of the Novelty" while I was in college. One of the best concerts I ever attended was Mahogany Rush live at the Armadillo World Headquarters here in Austin. It was truly an unforgettable concert experience! Now that CDs are the preferred medium for music, I have been successful in obtaining the first 4 albums on CD, but I am still unable to find "World Anthem". I'm hoping that the record company will come to their senses and reissue the complete catalog of CDs soon. I'd like to thank Frank Marino for many hours of listening pleasure!
