I first saw Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush when I was about 12 or 13, on the TV show "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert." The next day I spent all my paper route money on Maxoom, Child Of The Novelty, and Strange Universe.
I never got to see the group live, and I can only hope and pray that you can come down here to Norfolk.
I'm 50 now, but I still think "Land Of A Thousand Nights" is the heaviest song ever! I still crank it up whenever I'm trying to do a max on the bench press!
Peace and blessings, bro!

Since Obviously There Is No Jimi Hendrix Anymore,In My Opinion The Next Best
Overqualified Acolyte Would Be Frank Marino And Mahogany Rush. And A Damn
Good Torch Bearer If There Ever Was One.I Recently Picked Up The Double Live
Album And Wow I'm Really Impressed With The Rearrangement Of Roadhouse
Blues At The End.Even Jim Morrison Would Like It!Once I Saw You Guys In The
Bottom Line In New York City And Couldn't Believe How Oblivious And Rude The
Audience Was But Your Band Was Unphased And Played Better Than Ever
All Through The Night. You Guys Are At The Very Least The Most Professional
Group Of Guys Ever.Tell Me If You'll Be Playing In The San Francisco Area Anytime
Soon. There Are Very Few Rock Acts That I Still Go To See,And Your Band Is One Of Them!

Hey Frank,
Loved your music all through the years. Hadn't seen you since the 70's but recently saw you in Santa Cruz California. You were GREAT! You haven't lost any of your chops! Would like to let you know there is a biker (Harley) festival that goes on in northern Calif. called the Redwood Run (there is a Redwood Run page on facebook). I was hoping to maybe get another chance to see you play in California again and that it would be fantastic to see you up in the redwooods. The people (Kiwanis) who run the show would love to have you and all the proceeds from the show go to help kids in the nearby community. Keep playing your great style of guitar/music and here's hoping I'll get to see you real soon!

Have enjoyed Frank's music for over thirty years now. Enjoyed watching Frank and band perform at the Wax Museum in Washington D.C. back in the late seventies. Since then I served in the US Army and ended up retiring in the midwest but haven't seen Frank perform in a very long time. Please come to Kansas City or somewhere closer to K.C. area and I'll be definitely be there. Keep rockin Frank... one of my all time favorite guitar players of all time.

I also like Hendrix and I personally know Walter Trout who comes to Kansas City every year.

You still have some of the most incredible lics, especially when listening to lics like your version of "Johnny Be Good"... Thanks for your inspiration brother!!! Best Regards - Ken smile

Didn't really know anything about you and your band before this morning. I'd heard of you but that was about it. I was looking for more works by Ronnie Montrose or Montrose Cunningham and I found out Ronnie had recorded a tribute song for you. Ronnie is my favorite performer. I remember riding my bike over six miles over steep hills in one hundred degree weather to see if they had any Montrose eight-tracks during the late nineteen seventies. I still enjoy those same albums all these years later on CD. Anyway, I figured if Ronnie did a tribute to you then you had to have something going on. I ordered two of your CDs over Amazon soon afterwards. Ya gotta pay more for them here in the states if they're "imports". I don't buy albums that much anymore so I figured I could splurge.

Peace,
-Matt-
ps. There's a lot of Matthew Carrs out there so don't mistake me for another one. I'm the one in Hazelwood MO, home of Bigfoot. Bigfoot is a famous monster truck -you've probably heard of it -NOT a two-legged critter.

I am an avid bassist of over thirty years. I have purchased numerous copies of your live album because I literally played them til they were shredded plastic. To date, I have never in my life been so positively effected by any force whatsoever as I had been by the electric blues performed on this album. No one and I mean NOONE on earth lays down bad motherfuckin kick ass steamroll you blues like the emperor of e-bow, my personal Lord God of Rock and Roll, his Majesty..., Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. Not to diss paul harwood but I would so love to sit in with and play these tunes at a venue or even house party! My life on this earth would be fulfilled. I hope jim ayoub still is in fine health as well as Mr harwood. his tuxedo image I always found to be quite snappy. Was there twice at long beach arena Best of luck love and health to all. Til death a fan Thank you men.

Frank...You are what all of your fans wanted...You play like you said to answered to my question : " How do you make that feeling ? " " comme ça vient en français...

You sing in a lot of emotions and you transmise ever a peace and love message...also, your desolation about the fool minding of warriors people.

If it's possible, I will, with your autorisation, trying to made a petition for submited her to the ROCK'N'ROLL ALL OF FAME to Cleeveland...
Thanx Frank for what you are...

I remember seeing Mahogany Rush playing in various places in Montreal, SGWU, Norm Silver's Mustache, Lafontaine Park(I think) for some holiday, way back before they started recording and some of the people I hung with back then knew the band from TMR.
Anyway the name Frank Marino came up at work when my boss, a guitar freak from way back, asked me if I knew the name, given that I was born in Canada. So I told him about back then which led me to google the name and here I am.
Nice to know that you survived the 70's Frank.
