Howdy Franksters new and old! I havent been in the chatrooms since the new site has been in place (several years now). I used to go by S.U. aka . STRNG UNVRS. Spent many nights talking to many of the older fans from the old site .
Im glad to see Frank is back at it and doing a bit of touring. I hope he swings through the midwest/Chicago area. To you newbies that have never seen Frank live , I can only say you are in for a absolute one of a kind show . They don't make'em like this anymore!!! Do all you can to get to where they are playing you surely won't be disappointed!!! Take Care all , It's great news Frank that you are doing a little bit of touring again! Been a while Bro! Cant wait !!!

Hi Frank,

Glad to see you're still around.....

I'm really fortunate to have been one of your FIRST fans as I was the fellow who hired you March 9, 1973 for your gig in the St.Kevin's church hall basement.....It was a great night and I'll always remember the stern look on Father Mc Entees' face when I went upstairs during your soundcheck to see if the music was too loud......there he was doing the 7 pm folk mass and I couldn't hear the acoustic guitars or the bongos....needless to say I didn't attend the folk mass.....laugh. ... I came across the contract/rider for that night.....$175 or 80% of the gate......Times haven't changed a whole lot.....that's about the going rate for a band even today.....Admission was a buck and a half......

Thanks for the memories.....

I started playing guitar in 1962. I played the Animals, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Beatles, Stones till the late 60's came in to play. Bands like Cream, Mountain, Jimi Hendrix, was kickin' some booty. I started playing rock and was loving it. In 1973 I saw Frank Marino at the swing auditorium in San Bernardino, California and that changed my guitar playing for ever. I've been a "Protege" sort of speak of Franks since then. When people see me play they get sort of blown away with my style and thank me for playing at their club,.....and I say, "Don't thank me,....thank Frank Marino." He's the one that is the master of this style and has influenced me to becoming what I am today. And I thank you too Frank!!! You are truly a God-Send to the musical world. More Power to you & the people!!!!! Gary Jones

Hi Frank.

I just want to tell you that I hope someday you can play in my hometown to see you again live.

Also I let you know that my brother and I we are a big fans of you and many rockers and friends here know about you because of us not for the radio stations. Our radio stations here are a big shit and the only way to know great rock and roll music like you do is sharing music with the really rockers around the city.

Regards my friend and keep rocking showing the world how to do.

Just wanted to tell you I saw you in 1979 up in Portland Oregon at the Paramount theatre. One of their "catch a rising star" concerts, for $ 1.00. What a show, you opened with hendrix's "All along the Watchtower" and you rocked it. Never heard it played better. The rest of the concert rocked too! but I'll never forget that opening!!!!!!!

I saw Frank live at the old Omni Arena in Atlanta years ago and it was a smoking show. I wasn't very familiar with him before that but after that night I was a huge fan!

Great website by the way.

I look forward to seeing the show in Annapolis, MD, which looks like the first show on the tour. Last FM concert was at Royal Oak Theater, MI in the late 80s, so it has been awhile. Frank Marino is a guitar God and I can't wait to see him!

Wow.....don't know how I even got to this site tonight. Just thinking about the old (New York) days I guess & wondered whatever happened to Mahogany Rush. People don't realize it's not the other band "Rush." Guess I just love & always will love SCREAMING GUITARS!!! So nice to know Mahgogany Rush is still out there somewhere. xoxoxoxoxo
