A group of us were talking about our favorite shows from yesteryear when someone started to say Frank and everybody else in the group chimed in unison Marino and Mahogany Rush.We all wondered what had become of Frank and that led me to this website and I can't tell you how happy I was to find it and read that Frank is alive and well and back blowin em away.I can only hope that Frank and the boys will bless the people of Louisville with a show in the near future..........I'll be the one in the front row smilin like a fool smile Great to hear Frank is working again..........maybe some of these new guys will learn what a real guitarist is capable of and go back to school. Rock On Frank,God Bless You

Anything new in the works? Eye of The storm was a sensational surprise. I'll see you October 19 at the Belly Up in Solana Beach. Last time I saw you was at Winterland in San Francisco about 1976 with Ruby Starr and Black Sabbath. I'll buy you dinner if you have time.

Hey Ho!

I am glad to sign the Mahogany Rush guestbook. I've been a fan for a long time. Frank's music has meant a lot to me, and it seems to remain so over the years.

I really appreciate the talent involved and wish the very best for Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush (and the fans too)!! I would gladly listen to music like this over the current bumper crop of "cookie-cutter" crap. Long live Rock and Roll, long live Frank Marino!

Regards,

Jay Frantz

Hi Frank. I'm an old fan (46 years young) and just rediscovered you. I heard you will be at the Granada in Dallas, and I'll be there. I saw you a couple times in El Paso, TX in the '70's. My favorite memory of you is when you were doing a concert at the Convention Center and some A-hole threw a beer bottle and hit the drummer in the head. Of course he got mad and stopped playing. They turned up the lights and may have stopped the concert, but you walked up to the mic and told everyone to be cool and stop the BS. You started up the show again and you and your drummer got right back in the groove as if nothing happened. You didn't miss a beat. It was so cool. As a kid I always admired that small forgiving gesture in spite of some drunk guy who was out of control. Thanks for the memories and I look forward to seeing you again in Dallas. Looks like you still have your long hair, but I don't!! See you there!!

Hi Frank

My name is Rich, i live in Salinas, Ca. i saw you live in concert @ Sherwood HALL several years ago, me and 4 friends of mine, we all dropped some mescaline for the show. Your show back then is still today the best rock show i've been to. You have your style, but also the style of Hendrix incorporated in one. For a three man band you guys blew the roof off Sherwood Hall that night!! We all had a very good Mahogany rush going on, your intensity of rock & roll is sheer power/energy, my ears were ringing for the next day & half, you guys rocked!! Just want to thank you & the band for sharing your rock & roll skills with Salinas that night !! Salinas is starting to bring major rock & roll artists for concerts to the renovated sports complex arena, maybe you & the band can come down & play for us again. The eagles & scorpions have played at the complex in the last eight months. Salinas needs more quality musicians to perform here, we have the arena for it,we have the people for it,what we don't have is enough entertaiment so the natives can enjoy themselves. Frank keep this in mind when you come down to play this october 21,'06 @ the Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz, Ca. Come down to Salinas, check out the Sports complex, get in touch with KHIP/THE HIPPO-104.3 FM, Maybe something can be arranged for a concert.

Ciao
Rich smile

Hey Frank. You may remember a fellow that went by the name of "RRIFFS". I believe you may have corresponded w/ him occasionally. He was tragically killed in a car crash yesterday AM. His given name was Anthony C. Barker. He always loved your music, in fact was almost obsessive about it. (in a good way) He was a good human, always thoughtful of others; he was also a man of strong faith. I've played with him for 20+ years off and on (me drumming, him shredding his guitar) I just can't believe this happened, how you can talk to someone one day and the next day they're gone. We were going to jam last night and I was getting ready to go over to his place when I found out. Anyways, this is my memorial to rriffs. I love you brother, keep rockin, RIP

Dear Mr. Marino,

Frank, you and your band "Mahogany Rush", compleatly blew my mind, whenI saw your Strange Universe Tour in '79(I think). I was in the tenth row; when you played at The Santa Monica Civic. I am looking forward to seeing another fantastic show this October; when you make it to Dallas, TX.

I too am a musician; playing with a band whose roots are in San Antonio, TX. I am the drummer with The Killing Floor. You have been a great influence in my musical career; as I enjoy listening to your creative guitar licks and rhythms.

I have also grown up listening to greats like: Hendrix, SRV, Robin Trower; and have been given the opportunity to jam with Randy Hansen. Now, I am with The Killing Floor creating sounds beyond this world. If you get a chance, please check out our site and some of our sounds.

Again, I look forward to seeing another great show of yours in Dallas, TX this coming October. If you ever need an opening band, feel free to contact us. We can be reached either through our website, or at jcmexperience@gmail.com.

Be safe, and GOD Bless you, Mahogany Rush and all of your families.

Peace & Love,
Jack Trevino
