What goes around, comes around, Frank. The high energy, blues/jazz influenced kick-ass rock from yesteryear is gonna come back. That's where you shine. As a big Ted fan, I (for lack of a better word) CRAVE the "real" purist guitarists of old. Being a guitarist myself, I admit to stealing countless licks from you as well as Ted and many, many others. Although I've never seen you live, (except taped Cal Jam) I've always had one of your albums, tapes or discs at the ready since 1978. KEEP ROCKIN', BRO', CAUSE THERE SURE AIN'T NO NEW MUSIC TO LISTEN TO!!! P.S.... Don't hate me 'cause I'm a Ted fan.

Nobody plays a meaner axe than Frank. Would love him to play a
Canadian tour. His style of music is sorely missed in this age of terrible wanna be rock n rollers.

Wow, I can't believe that it's been that long since "Live" was first on my turntable! Where has the time gone. So glad to see you're still making wonderfull music. You were a real inspiration to me on guitar from back in the late 70's. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to doing music your own way!

Peace, God Bless; Pete Gonzales.

hi,

Just wanted to say that someone close to me, played a Mahogany Rush album.

I hand't thought about Frank's playing in a long time.

He still sounds real good.

Just like, at 48 years old , (June 08, 2006), I was pleasantly suprised to hear how good "Captain Beyond" sounded, with Bobby Caldwell as the drummer, and one of the writers. (Suprise!!! I'm a drummer), It also had" Rhino" on guitar.

Blah, Blah' aye?

Anyway's, Just a fond hello to a guitar giant.

Frankie,
I have just discovered that the wonderful sound of Mahogany Rush & the very talented Frank Marino that I've enjoyed listening to since the 70's was none other than Norman's kid brother. I'm Jimmy Valiquette's big sister. We lived on Glengarry Ave. in the Town of Mt. Royal. We all went to St. Joseph's together! Your music is awesome Frank. My favorite song I would have to say is still to this day "Dragonfly". Today, my brother Steve & I raised a glass to the "Rock Star" from our "hood" while listening to one of your C.D.'s. Congratulations Frank!
ROCK ON!

Dear Frank and crew...I first heard you in Guam, while I was stationed there in th USAF, in 1975...I was totally blown away, and yearned for more of this great sound. I kept a solid following, and spread the word about Mahogany Rush. Many of my friends that know good rock, are still interested in the doings of Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. I wish I had the opportunity to catch one of your concerts. Maybe in the future Frank!
Also, I am certain that you are also one of my biggest reasons, (along with JIMI HENDRIX) to try to actually learn to play guitar and drums...which I have done for about 25 years, much to my satisfaction. I play a 96 Hamer Daytona (strat), thru a 69 fender twin reverb...you know it sounds sweet!
Hope to meet you someday, my brother in rock! -dave barnes syracuse ny

Hey,
My older Brother Rick turned me on to yall in the early 70's and it was bands like MR -Skynyrd -and ZZ Top that helped me survive the musically devoid late 70s Disco attack. You are terribly underated as a guitarist and performer. It is a shame that you guys are not as well known-but I think any body who appreciates true Guitar Rock knows MR. I am relocating to PA this summer and I hope to see yall live in Allentown in 2006.

Keep On Rockin'

Frank,

Yours was the first live show I ever attended back in the 70s. You double billed with Nazareth. Still remember the show like it was yesterday. It has been many years since I last heard your music, but have been listening on your website all morning. Absolutely great reintroduction! I'm now your newest old fan!

I have always been a huge Frank Marino fan (since 1977 or so) and even have Mahogany Rush IV and Tales of the Unexpected on vinyl(!) I had forgotten about Frank along the way (pity) but recently heard Real Live and absolutely loved it and am getting my friends to hear it as well.

I have always thought that Frank was one of the best Canadian guitarists of all time (along with Alex Lifeson and Colin James). You are a true artist and I respect and appreciate your musicianship.

Keep on rocking!

Best wishes, Andy.

PS. Love this website. Thanks for providing the streaming music. I appreciate it very much.
