I've seen Frank Marino over 10 times and no one compares to him. I just found World Anthem on CD and it still is my favorite. I'm glad to see Frank represented so well on the net, it's about time those critics paid their dues. Keep rockin' Frank and come to St. Louis!!!!!Ed

Besides Jimi, you and Robin Trower have been the biggest influences in my guitar playing. Neither of you copy Jimi, both of you definitely have your own sytles. Both of you are always being undervalued by the critics(THEY CAN STICK THEIR HEADS WHERE SUN THE DON'T SHINE!!), but I am glad that neither of you gave up because of the their constant bullshit!! Keep doing what you do best, I will always be there with you. thanks and bless you. P.S. I am also part-Italiano!

I interviewed Frank at a show here in Houston. It was after a show and he looked really tired and pissed. This is back when he was having a tough time with David Krebbs and CBS records. As Frank told us, "CBS is the worse record company in the world and I don't care who knows it...I'm going to hire the PLO!" Long story short, our tape recorder screwed up on us and we thought for sure that Frank was going to kick our ass (20 minutes into the interview). Instead, Frank said "no problem, we'll use mine, lets start over!" What a guy! Frank is the coolest and most down to earth guy, as well as the nicest musician we ever met - and I have met many.

I have been a fan for twenty-three years, and I have turned many people on to your music (as a partying teenager & in later years, as now, on the jobsite), as loud and as long as I can get away with it..... I am glad beyond belief to have found this site and to have found a way besides tresure hunting at used record stores to finally fill in the blanks in my collection. Am anxiosly waiting for a tour date. (anywhere close is good enough for me!) ROCK ON BROTHER!!!

Frank is one of the best rock guitarists in the world. It is always a pleasure for me listening to his records. My best song is "Ain't Dead Yet" and my favourite album is "Strange Universe". It would be fantastic to see him live here in Greece, but i is pretty difficult to happen.Keep up the good work, Frank!

After I bought "World Anthem" back in 77' the dice was casted. One of the heaviest and most melodic hardrock albums of all time! Never heard anything like it since.

Well, I got into Frank back in'73 with the Maxoom album. I read the freak/hype stuff about him being a reincarneted Jimi Hendrix. As I were, and is, a Hendrix freak I thought I gotta check Frank out. I never believed the story itself, but I sure believed in Frank's music. The three albums that touched my soul the most are: Child Of The Novelty, Strange Universe and What's Next. Sadly Frank has been kind of quite the last decade or so. I sure hopes that he will come back with the force that he used to have. I play the lead guitar and sings in a band that are heavily influenced by Hendrix and others from the late 60's and the early 70's. Next to women, music is the best !!!

I'd like to thank Frank for being such a part of my life over the years. My first introduction to his music was way back around '75 or so listening to Strange Universe on 8-Track. Ever Since that day I was hooked. His music has inspired me to become a fairly competent guitarist and giving me a real apprecitation for emotional guitar music and a real dislike for cold "shredder" guitarists. One thing that I have noticed here lately is the fact that the solos of the great Eddie Van Halen are sounding more like Frank Marino than Eddie Van Halen these days. I have been to numerous Mahogany Rush shows over the years, the last being in Fort Worth at The Caravan Of Dreams in '93. I would love to see Frank again. I had a friend named Billy that died in a house fire back in the early '80s. Frank meant so much to Billy that he had requested that if he were to die unexpectedly that he be buried with his Mahogany Rush albums. Unfortunately, the records were lost in the fire. I would love to hear Land of 1000 Nights played live for Billy.

Hey Frank,Don't consider this shouting, I'm freaking screaming, YOU ARE THE GUITAR ROCK GOD OF ALL TIME!!! I've only seen you once, but I will never forget it. It was in Columbus, GA in 1977. I don't know how or why I haven't found this site before ( I have looked), but I'm here now. It's about time they re-released those other albums on cd. On you Best of Dragonfly cd it mentions you might be doing a new recording. What's up with that? I could almost cream if you did. Especially since it mentioned it would be along the lines of you older, more psychedelic stuff. Enough for now. C-ya!!
