Frank Marino is the greatest musician on the face of our dying planet !!! Our band was even called Dragonfly for awhile. We are now called Dying Breed & our goal is to preserve the musical integrity of Rock-N-Roll as shown to us by the great masters such as Frank Marino. Keep Goin' Bro !!! It's not over till it's over...With great love & respect...Dying Breed

what a godsend !!! i can't believe i found info. on frank on the web; i had heard a rumor recently that mr. marino had sold his guitar and given up on the music business - SAY IT AIN'T SO !!! judging from this website it would appear to be VERY far from the truth !!!!i am a BIG fan, seen several gigs, and i collect live tapes, and i must say that live there isn't much that can compare to the power and the glory of frank playing his SG !!! my favorite marino song has to be POPPY; i hope this makes it onto the new album as have yet to hear a studio version. as far as a song i'd really like to hear live, i would nominate STORIES OF A HERO - great song, and one i have not heard played live (yet).i cannot WAIT to hear the upcoming album -- and hope the tour visits a town near me.....i've managed to convert many a guitar fan to the virtues of frank, and i should be able to persuade a few to come out for a live show !!!! till then, keep on rockin'jon hahnslipkid@voicenet.com

I've been diggin' you since 1975, seen you the first time in the 80's, "Day on the green". Then a couple of times at the Cabaret in San Jose . Between you and Jimi, my own guitar style was set. Guitar players come and go, none have come close to you. You, as one of the soul survivors of the era, must continue the journey for the rest of us. It's been since ' 92 that I' ve seen you last. let' s do it again, "The power of rock and roll".

What a great surprise to see Frank Marino on the net. Just got on the Net, and typed in Mahogany Rush to get here. Not too much available from you all in Terrace. I now live in Vancouver, still not too many folks know what your about, the ones who do are rabid. Must get "What's Next" on CD.E-mail me the place I can buy it asap. Yeah, I sent a mail to Columbia.

Dear Frank,I'd like to take this time to tell you how much of a tremendous inspiration you have been in my life. The reason I'm writing this is because I was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and the doctors have not been very optimistic in their prognosis, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with what they say. There are many alternatives available besides chemotherapy and radiation and with God's direction the right ones are being implemented. As far as I'm concerned, I've won and it's just a matter of time until my body catches up with my mind! You were the first person I had ever seen in concert. I was in the eighth grade at the time. I skipped school to hang out at the theatre you playing at and watched your roadies set everything up. I couldn't believe the show and what I was seeing. They had to close the upper balcony because you were so loud and plaster was falling off the walls. It was great! Since then I was hooked. I have all your records and now CD's (as their released). I have seen you every time you've come to Pittsburgh and even went to both back to back shows when you opened for Kansas on their Monolith tour at Pittsburgh's Civic arena. It was your 'Tales of the Unexpected' tour. Your playing and lyrics have always encouraged me and given me the inspiration to carry on. You taught me that 'I've got livin' and I've got life' and not to be 'afraid to step into the flame'. May you continue to write and play great music and when you tour this year please play 'Land of 1000 Nights' because I know I'll be there…doctors are never right.Bryan Hardie

Frank, You were my first true musical hero! I was lucky enough to hear "FM&MR-Live" in a record store at the time of it's release. I bought it immediately! I was so enthralled that my girlfriend bought all 4 previous releases for me. I listened to you and only you for over 2 months! At that time I lived in Alamogordo,N.M. so I saw you in El Paso,TX. every show. My personal fave was the show with Nazareth:you were great, then Naz tried an ill-fated acoustic segment that led to chants of "FRANK,FRANK,FRANK!!!".( I helped start that) I still love your music and listen to it often. Please come to Spokane,WA.(Play the Met!)and I will bring 10 friends! When you come, please play"Makin' my Wave". Your fan and friend,Jim Homer P.S. All FM fans, check out Frank Zappa for the #2 player ever!!!
