i just ordered From The Hip from Music Boulevard and when i listened to it, i really felt as if i was listening to the best guitar player of all times. That's real strange because that's exactly what i've been feeling since i bought my first Frank Marino album Maxoom back in 1975.i hope you'll keep on recording tons of albums and that i'll have the opportunity to see you live-which i have never ever have-someday soon. Thanks for being who you are .Long may you rock.i love motor racing too.Best.Philippe

Holy shit man, my friends were right!!!! This IS the best web site on the net for sure. I've seen the other LAME Mahogany Rush sites and this one is the absolute best!! Incredible job Willy, you must be a bigger Marino fan than me, although I thought that I was the BIGGEST. I'll take second behind you, my friend. I have loved Frank's music for over 25 years now and it still holds up as Nugent, Blackmore, Montrose, Travers and a whole lot more 70's guitarists fall into oblivion!! When it's all said and done, Frank Marino will stand on top of the hill made up of the all time best guitarists in the universe. Keep rockin' Frank and we can't wait for the new stuff and that long overdue VIDEO! Please come to Phoenix, WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

Well, so you're still around huh! Alright. Saw you a couple of years ago at the old Sneakers in Austin, Texas. Hope you come to Austin on your new tour. You have always been one of my favorite bands and I have most of your albums (lost my collection a couple of times), even had Maxoom a couple of times (they kept getting stolen!) And I guess my favorite was Mahogany Rush Live which I believe some of which was recorded in Austin which I attended. I also attended all of your shows in Austin.

FM is one of the best. I play guitar today as a hobby. I think people who listen to FM have great taste in music. Thanks for letting the fans know that FRANK is there.

Its wonderful to see this web site!! I really liked the Ask Frank section. I first saw Frank in the late 70s - he opened for Nazareth. It was an awesome show - I left after Nazareths' third song (they were okay, but they couldn't follow Frank) The follow year was the Rock Marathon - Mahogany Rush, Humble Pie, Mothers Finest, and Angel. Frank closed the show. His drummer, Jim Ayoub?, was sick; so BB Queen from MF played drums. This turned out to be a special treat. Frank played, what must have been a hour solo - I looked at the audience during this and they were mesmerized!!!! It was a Wall of Sound. I've seen some great players - Blackmore, Vai, Eric Johnson, SRV, Steve Morse, Trower, and more, but that night is the basis to which I always compare others. Thank you! Sam (Violence is the Last Refuge of the Incompetent) compare the others.

Well....this is so cool. I haven't heard about Frank Marino since I was just a teen. (I still have a concert t-shirt that's too small for me now). I remember watching Frank play at the Day on the Green in Oakland. Man o'man...It would be totally cool to see him live again.

Hi Willy and Frank, I just want to say how pleased I am that Power of R'n'R and Juggernaut are coming out on CD. Power of R'n'R is a very important piece of work in the career of Frank Marino. It is my second favourite studio release ever after Strange Universe. The song We Ain't Dead Yet expresses a sentiment that is more valid today than ever. With the decline in sales of metal and hard rock in general, this song sends a message loud and clear to all that should be heard echoing throughout the music industry. While most of the material from Power dates back to the What's Next sessions, this album contains a monstrous intensity. The title track, Play My Music, Young Man all have as powerful lyrical message as the instruments are hot. Strange Dreams is an excellent example of great lyrics too. Midnight Highway, Stories of a Hero, Free, and Maybe It's Time are amazing anthems of rock. You know Frank, I just pulled these very Albums out today as well as What's Next to record for a guy here in the Lower Mainland, that contacted me thru this website. I show him some of L'Ete Show from Bromont as your 1975 DKRC appearance, and Chicago '83 on your birthday and hes was just flabbergasted. He had never seen you live before being from Northern BC. Man, I love it when I can turn people onto your music. It looks like my contributions to Jyrki's site are finally paying off even though he doesn't update it nearly enough. Anyway, take care. This is best news I've had since I picked up the reissue of World Anthem!!

Frank, I just wanted to say how happy I am for you and the fan's that the "Power of Rock n Roll" and "Juggernaut" are finally going to be released on cd.Willy, without your hard work of creating this great page it probably would have never happened, so a big thanx go's out to you. I hope Frank sell's ton's and ton's of cd's and video's because he should be rewarded for all of his hard work over all these year's. It's going to be great listening to killer tune's like "Ain't Dead Yet" and "Go Strange". "ALL AROUND WE HEAR THE SOUND THE VOICES IN OUR EAR'S, TRYIN' TO BRING OUR WHOLE WORLD DOWN PLAYIN' ON OUR FEARS, DESIGNING RULE'S, DECIDING WHO, THEIR GOING TO GIVE THE CHANCE TO, AND ALL THE WHILE THE PHONY SMILE'S, THEY JUST WANT TO ROMANCE YOU"!!!...O YEA!!!

Been playing guitar for 35 years. Throughout that time, my playing was influenced by various artists. Among them were Robin Trower, and most recently, Joe Satriani. At the top of the list, however, remains Frank Marino. In all of my old bands, we always played "A New Rock & Roll" (live version) which never failed to be a crowd pleaser. If I had to pick a single favorite, of Frank's tunes, it would probably have to be "Land of 1000 nights", but it's really quite difficult to pick between it and "Dragonfly" and "Dear Music", and... I never got to hear Frank live, though I came close. A gig in a relatively large club in the small town of Ridgley, West Virginia, got canceled the night of the show. SO many people were looking forward to that, but... In these latter years, I've become well aquainted with the Lord, and I hope that Frank has (or does) too. Jayte

I remember seeing Mahogany Rush in a small town named Thetford-Mines (between Montreal and Quebec city) in the early 70's,I thought it was just another local band from Montreal,I was totaly wrong,I could'nt beleive what I saw that night,I never heard and see anything so powerful ,since that day the name Frank Marino is ranked # 1 without a doubt.

Just got off my local "classic rock" radio stations web page and sent them a few nice comments about giving some airplay to Mahogany Rush. "Maybe it's time" y'all did the same!
