Just got Eye of the Storm in the mail. WOW! Great stuff. I found your 1978 Live album in a thrift shop and I was hooked. Love the spiritual lyrics and guitar virtuosity. Also love the variety of styles you can play. I'm a guitar player and so another deserved compliment is the originality of the guitar licks and phrasing that you do. God Bless, Bob

Greetings to Frank fans. Frank is from hometown, Montreal. Maxoom came out when I was in Grade 11. Frank was the real thing. He was unique unto himself and inspired a lot of us in the neighborhoods.cool

Grew up in Montreal and played the crap out of the 1978 live album. Old Man Patterson 5 houses down called the cops when we were playing it over and over one afternoon. Cops came and told us to turn the noise down. When they left we just turned it louder. I think they came back two more times then gave up.

Just never understood why Frank hasn't got the recognition that he deserves and we have all these other guys who are not even mediocre finding their way into the spotlight. I guess it's a good thing in a way. His music stays pure because it's not plastered all over mainstream radio. How many times can you listen to Walk This Way by Aerosmith? Or Highway To Hell by AC DC?

laugh I've been a fan since Child of the Novelty was released and thoroughly enjoy Frank's music. I have only been able to see him live once when he opened for Golden Earring in St. Paul sometime in the '70s. I would love to see him live again here in St. Paul-Minneapolis if he ever goes on tour in this part of the US.
Peace,

Wow its been a long time Iv been listening to Frank. Made an impression on me when I saw Mahogany Rush on TV late nite when I was a kid...I wanted to play electric guitar.
I think it was "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert" Frank did "A New Kind of Rock n Roll"
Years later I saw him headline at COBO, world series of rock around 1979 or 1980 - mind blowing, then few years later at Harpo's in Detroit. ROCK ON FRANK, LETS JAM SOMETIME WHEN YOUR IN MICHIGAN COME ON OVER..

Hey Frank,

Just wanted to say that you are one of the best that ever picked up a guitar. I was turned on to your band by a friend in 1974 and loved your music so much I even had one half of my van painted with most of the images from the "Child of the Novelty" album. Keep rollin that axe Brother, maybe I will get to see you live someday, that would be a real treat!

All the best,

"Dynamo" Dave Miller

Greetings,

Always like your playing, thought you were your own player. Will have to catch you if you tour this way.
While yourself and Townshend is the reason I own some SG's, I've a question for you...... SG's while I like them and mine are in good repair, they've never been an instrument that I felt comfortable playing in summer outdoor venues as they seem to be really humidity sensitive and the tuning is squirrely. Other than tuners, did you make any mods to yours or was the above not a problem for you?
Good Health To You And Yours, Ross W. Lovell

Hooked on Mahogany Rush since hearing Maxoom. Still have my original vinyl pressing. Frank Marino is a true musician. He cares more about the music than the dollars. Thanks for that and for all the creative music over the years.

First saw the band at Dayton Hara Arena in 1978 with Styx. I was hooked after that concert. Saw many a guitarist play live and while it is true that there is no concert like a KISS concert, there is certainly NO "LIVE" guitarist like Frank Marino. Simply all-out amazing!
