Man, you were and are brilliant. Right up there in the top echelon of guitarists of all time. Strange Universe was an absolutely brilliant album and always will be. Me and my buddies noticed you right after you released Maxoom. And we followed you for years. An awesome talent and after watching some of the video on YouTube of you playing in Montreal in 2001 I see you haven't lost a step. An amazing version of Voodoo Chile in that video. Great stuff...always was, and always will be.

I only got to see Frank once. It was LOUD. and when I say LOUD, I mean ears ringing the next day LOUD.

Frank did a couple solo's that extended well over 10 minutes. It wasn't the biggest club, it wasn't (really) packed, but the music was KILLER.

You want to talk about rock? Frank rocks! I've seen many famous guitarists and while I enjoyed all of their shows, Frank was the best.
He played like it was his last night on Earth. Like every note counted.
Let me repeat that, he played every note like he was wringing the very soul out of the guitar.

It made me want to leave and go practice my chops and made me want to quit at the same time. You can practice till your ears bleed, but I think he was born with the passion.

You can love music, (I do) go to concerts, (I do) but until you witness that PASSION for playing the instrument,...............

I get chills still thinking about it.

For all the fans that love his music, we get it.

For all the others, you're missing out. IMHO

I remember hearing of Mahogany Rush back in high school. The band never received any airplay from our "beloved" rock station. The name had always stuck with me so I looked you up on YouTube. Mahogany Rush is fantastic!!!! Thanks to the internet, you have a new fan.

Still have a few of the original albums. I'm thinking of updating some of my music electronically. It will be a treat to hear some of the MR that I have not heard in years.

I remember going to concerts often in Evansville, Indiana when I was in my teens. Mahogany Rush did indeed play and I was able to catch a couple of performances. There is nothing like a live performance by Mahogany Rush!
Now that I read the history of the band I do remember the rumor was like wildfire that the guitarist was either Jimi Hendrix reincarnated or was possessed by the spirit of Hendrix. It spread by word of mouth, it didn't need advertisement, and the performance definitely supported the rumor.
Thanks for the memories from my early young hippie days and all the great music!

all these years of listening to your music i never have seen you live as much as i have tried. something has always happened to keep me from a show.
will you tour any time in the future 2014 on ? i understand that getting old is not for sissies as i am 57 in april 2014. it sure would be great and bring back good memories to hear of a tour through phoenix. and i also remember listening to tontos flying head band back in the 70's. i also dig jean-michael jarre for synthetic music. in closing your guitar work is legendary....god bless

Very much appreciate Frank's contribution to our world. I feel a spiritual kinship with him as many of my own experiences resemble what Frank has shared with us through his music. I doubt very much that I'll meet him any time soon but I'm sure I'll catch up with him at some point. May God bless, protect and grant much peace to Frank and his family. Thanks, Charlie
