hello frank, this is a very cool site, i'm a big fan of mahogany rush.......the first time i saw you was in cleveland, i belive it was "76", world series of rock at the municipal stadium..3 other bands were there, only remember areosmith though....you guys came on last, me and my three buds worked our way down to the front, and at being 14 years old at the time, never knowing who this band mahogany rush was, i was totally blown away, mezmerized, and became an instant fan......two things i remember the most, of course the very cool playing, and the crowd, yeah, people were going crazy, more so than the other bands...you guys ROCKED!!!.....i grew up with the pink floyyd's, led zeps, black sabbath's, to mention a few, which are great in their own way, yet back then, and today, i'm proud to say that mahogany rush is my favorite band of all time....last year i caught your show at the house of blues in cleveland, first concert i have been to in wow, over 20 years...same thing, blown away, mezmerized...frank, your magical with the gutair.....!!!!.......peacecool

i live in berkeley calif. Back in the early 70's you came out here all the time. You use to play a place called WINTERLAND a lot, even in Oakland CA. at the monsters of rock concerts. I love listening to your music, but even more i truley love watching you play LIVE. why don't you ever come to the west coast? and why don't you have any live DVD's out or do you. Me and my friend saw you in Santa Cruz. Please come back to the west coast.

hey frank, one day i walked into the record store and "a new rock n roll" was playing (from the live album) and you instantly had a fan forever.it kind of breaks my heart that true artists and consumate musicians like yourself many times are deemed unfit for the radio and in some ways never get the recognition they deserve, but mom always told me life aint fair. i've seen you about 5 times over the years in chicago and you've always put on a spectacular show. i bought my first and only guitar bacause of you (a mahogany SG) though i must admit Angus Young provided inspiration also, but that's pretty good company, ya think?! as a matter of fact i haven't played in years but i'm gonna break that mutha out of storage and start over. good luck and hope to see you soon

Grew up listening to Mahoghany Rush as a teenager back in Ontario in the 70's. Never got to see the band live though. Is a 2009 tour planned? (With hopefully a visit to Vancouver!) Keep playing that great music!

Hi Frank,

I was fortunate to see you live twice, once in Lethbridge and once in Halifax... I have been and always will be a big Hendrix fan and pretty upset when Jimi passed away.... You brought the spirit of Jimi back for me and knew that his music would never be forgotten with Frank doing his thing... I enjoy your music tremendously, please keep up the great work. I hope to be able to see you perform again....

Jim

The first time I listened to Frank was the What's Next album. I was an instant fan. As it so happens, this album and many others were stolen and it took quite a few years for me to get wise and track it down on the web. Well, the cd was in my jeep when my jeep got stolen as did all of my cd's so I had to purchase it yet again. Frank's rendition of Roadhouse Blues is the best I've ever heard.

So, I'm wondering if you'll ever make it to Hawaii. Hope so.

It would appear that we have a lot in common, acid, soberness, wild music, sounds that seemingly only you can understand. I remember you from the 70's.
I have been recording my own tunes and put them online for my own entertainment, if people listen, fine, if not, fine, also. It's fun!

First concert I ever attended sometime 76-78 at a small venue in Detroit. Can't remember the name of the concert hall. It was before the Cobo Hall thing. Had a great time. People here in Central Florida say my husband sounds like Mahogany Rush. www.stillwillis.com
I will definately see ya if ya get to Florida.wink
