Became a fan back in 1970. It was in Dallas, Texas at the Travis Street Electric Company. I had never heard of Mahogany Rush, let alone Frank Marino. I became a fan for life! I was actually able to record the show from the radio the next night and listened to it until the tape broke.

I also play guitar. My favorites are my '69 SG and '74 Strat. I hold no candle to the master though.

Frank...thanks for the good times and the many memories!

I HAD THE SURPRISE OF MY LIFE WHEN I SAW FRANK & THE BOYS PLAY ON JULY 22, 1974 AT THE AGORA IN CLEVELAND. I DON'T KNOW IF THE HEAT WAS MORE INTENSE INSIDE OR OUT. BUT FOR SURE I WAS HOOKED ON ONE OF THE BEST GUITARISTS OF MY LIFETIME. I SAW FRANK AT LEAST 8 MORE TIMES AFTER THAT WHICH INCLUDES THE JULY 2008 SHOW AT THE HOUSE OF BLUES IN CLEVELAND. FRANK MARINO WILL ALWAYS GET MY VOTE AS "THE BEST GUITARIST ON THE PLANET"

I saw Mahogany Rush open For Black Sabbath At Winterland in San Francisco in 1975,and Frank Marino smoked. One of the best of the best guitarists, this is someone who deserves a place in the AllTime Valhalla of Gibsonmaniacs and Stratocasting space explorers.I remember him coming out with his red SG and inspiring all of us teen age wasteland inhabitants to pursue the electric path to spirituality through bent super slinkys and barre chords laced with jiggers of Marshall magic-a chemistry of Kings to please the minds and bodies ahd hearts and souls of all who believe in the fretted way to heaven.

Happy New Year Frank,

I have just joined the Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush forum but I have been a fan for a long time. I first saw Mahogany Rush just before the release of Maxoom and I am not sure that the All in your Mind/Buddy single was already released. It was in Quebec city at the Gymnasium of the CEGEP François-Xavier Garneau around 1971. Mahogany Rush was opening for Pacific Gas and Electric. I have seen Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush several times since then (e.g Alberta Jam in 1979 up to last year in Quebec).

Keep on releasing these wonderfull records and I hope o see the next show.

All the Best,

JYC1971

Gotta give a "Thanks" for the enjoyment of your music over the years, it's my kinda energy! I dumped most of my music after a very positive spiritual decision years ago, and am re-purchasing music that still gives me goosebumps and positive energy, yours included. I'm sad to learn you were in the L.A. area four months ago, any plans to tour thru here again?
Also, any idea if "What's Next" will be released correctly in the near future?

Thanks again, especially for "Poppy"(which even caused my mother to admit "that's good") and "Loved by You" my two favorites...
