Saw Frank at the Bluesfest in Windsor this past Friday, and he left the crowd with their jaws on the ground.
Frank is sooo under-rated as a guitar player.
Can't wait to see him again.

smile Dear Frank, a friend called me today to ask if I would like to go to your show in Sellersville,PA on Wed July 16,2008 and I absolutely said YES! I didn't know about the show before that and ran right up today to get tickets- Row P seats 5&6. We're in the back middle but the sound will be amazing there, only about 29 rows in the theater. I have Strange Universe, MR IV, and What's Next but didn't know you were still writing and performing because of the ignorance of the mainstream. I had the great fortune to see you perform back around 1976-77 at a racetrack in Trenton,NJ. Aerosmith was the headliner then and other acts included Nils Lofgren (before he sold out with Springsteen), Gary Wright, and Kingfish. All were pretty good but Mahogany Rush really stood out for me especially the guitar effects that seemed to swirl back and forth through the huge banks of speakers. I was pretty far back and couldn't see well but I was there for the sound anyway and wasn't disappointed. My friend and I are really looking forward to the show next Wednesday, it is such a nice place to see a show. A funny coincidence- I have been listening to music with headphones while I write out bills or balance the checkbook and got tired of the same old CDs after a while, so recently I started pulling out my old vinyl albums which I haven't listened to for years. Well about the second time, I selected Mahogany Rush IV which was about 3 weeks ago and liked it so much again that I listened to it several more times in the next few days and then the same with Strange Universe too. And now, three weeks later my friend calls and tells me about the upcoming show, I'm so glad I didn't miss it. Great to see you are still out there performing!

Just saw you last night (it's after midnite now) at London, Ontario's Bluesfest 2008. Words cannot describe what you did on stage. Don't know the names of the material you did, but the air-raid you performed was perfect, what with the look of the half-torn-down building in behind. There was even pieces of re-bar sticking out of the walls. The aural landscape you sculpted harmonized perfectly with the surroundings behind you, and sunset behind the stage, no less. Just pure magic. I don't think I will ever forget your performance for as long as I live....and to think I was hardly what you would call a fan before tonight, having heard exactly three of your songs before last night.

Listened to the band in the late 70s early 80s, while in the military, after a long absence, still rocks after all these years.

Just by chance I heard just a reproduction of a concert of Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush from the DLF-Radiostation, the "Real Live" concert in Montreal, 2001. Completely fantastic. It's interesting that one can live 59 years without such wunderful music. I hope, this music will be alive more years from now.....

Hi Frank

unfortunately I have never seen you live on concert, but I have heard all your music - it's unbelievable how you can dominate guitar! I play guitar himself and I am a big fan of yours.

Many greetings from Germany

An old buddy of mine told me about this site.Good Lord, I don't even remember how many times we saw Frank back in the 80's. I'm guesseing maybe four or more at Cobo, at least 4 times at Harpo's. A few times at Royal Oak Music Theater and so the list goes on.
WE spent hours and hours partying with other friends while Marino ALBUMS played endlessy in the background.
This old buddy of mine got ahold of me a while back and we saw Frank at The Magic Bag. Just like the old days, Frank just gets better and better and always stuns us with those signature licks and then some.
Rock on Frank!
