Frank Marino was the first consert I ever went to .I was 16 and Mahogany Rush opened for Status Quo in St louis at the Ambasidor Theater in 1976.
I was a troubled kid and was hanging out with a bunch that I didn't really like but they were older and had drugs and cars .Anyway thewre talking about seeing Mahogany rush and I said I wanted to go . I was totally blown away and couldn't figure out how anybody could play guitar like that and get those sounds out of a guitar. comlpetly changed my life and gave me inspiration to be more experimental on guitar. I was a local legend in St louis area for a while . I've recently picked up gitar again and heard mohogany rush playing on a job site radio . I'm an electrician and I had to stop the guy with the radio and say who's that . He told me Frank Marino
Keep up the music Man Its very inspirational.

Thanks to XM Radio's 'Deep Tracks' I have been turned-on to Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. You guys TOTALLY ROCK! The local radio stations around here don't play your music and they SUCK for it.

I've seen Frank twice....once in 74 or 75 in either Stockton or Sacramento California and then again around 1980 in Oklahoma City! He is without a doubt one of the top 5 rock/blues/jazz players that's ever picked up a six string. My question is....is there anyone out there that went to the California show where Black Sabbath,Mahogany Rush, and Ruby Starr and Greyghost played.Ruby Starr went first(I don't remember what the music was or what they sounded like)then Frank played and totally kicked some rock-n-roll ass and then Sabbath came on and played six songs then claimed equiptment malfunction(I always thought that it was because they had to follow Frank and couldn't come close to equalling his performance)but the venue gave us our money back for the concert as Sabbath were the "Headliners"and I got to see FM&MR for free and have been a fan ever since.I would like to know if anyone out there was astute enough to write down the song list for the concert..............I know it's a stretch but just maybe!

hy frank, you´re a great guitar-player, your name sounds italian, so your riffs sound as allegoric as italian operas. Is it possible to see you once live on stage here in Europe? That would be great.
ciao

Frank,
Thank you and your band members for a great performance in Detroit tonight (7/28/07). This was the first time that I saw you and you are an awsome musician. You really rock! Listening to you, I heard the sounds of Jimmy Hendrix, Robin Trower, Muddy Waters and Stevie Ray Vaughn to name a few. They must have influenced you in some way, while developing your skill.

smilesmile:-JUST GOT HOME FROM THE MAHOGANY RUSH CONCERT HELD IN CLEVELAND OH.07/27/07.THIS IS PROBABLY THE 10th TIME I HAVE SEEN FRANK MARINO IN CONCERT AND AS USUAL WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED WITH HIS SHOW.THREE HOURS OF NON-STOP GUITAR ROCK IN YOUR FACE THAT WAS JUST UNBELIEVABLE TO WITNESS.IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN FRANK MARINO "LIVE" YOU HAVE NOT BEEN A PART OF ROCK MUSIC HISTORY IN THE MAKING.THERE IS NOBODY ON THIS PLANET THAT COULD EVEN TRY TO REPRODUCE THE SOUNDS THAT FRANK CAN GET OUT OF HIS GUITARS.I KNOW FOR SURE THAT JIMI AND STEVIE WERE JAMMING UPSTAIRS FOR THIS ONE!I THOUGHT FRANK SOUNDED GOOD THE 1st TIME I SAW HIM IN THE SUMMER OF "74" BUT HE GETS BETTER AS TIME GOES ON.WHOEVER SAYS AND THINKS ERIC CLAPTON IS THE BEST GUITARIST EVER NEEDS TO HAVE THEIR HEAD EXAMINED AND THEN SENT TO A MAHOGANY RUSH CONCERT.YOU'RE THE MAN.FRANK.LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL!!!

Frank.

You are and have been my favorite guitarist since I began to like the instrument. I just saw you at the Blues Festivle at Hartwood Acres . You were awesome as always. I will apologize for the jerk that wouldnt stop playing on stage two in the back. That forced you to wait and everyone out front of stage one was furious too. Oh well, what can you say. There is always going to be an ass in the group. You did wonderfully and your band was awesome as well. Keep up the good work!

Roy Sinclair
