Have always thought you were and are the best. Psychedelic music and especially guitar have always been my choice. when I was younger I toured with the dead for many years. After that was over I had A major void in my life. As I turned to drugs , of the wrong kind, your music helped me get thorough it all. for that thank you. Peace and love, your friend, mark

Just reading the Sunday paper and XM Deep Tracks is playing low in the background. I'm getting pulled into the music. So familiar, yet so new. Who is this? It feels so right. "Frank Marino and M/Poppy" was all I got from the display. I had to get on the computer to find out more. Radio@AOL is messing up, it's playing XM Deep Tracks, but displaying XM 60's. Now I'm panicing. Ah, a search for "Frank Marino" brings me here. I love it! I need this in my car for the daily commute.

Hey, you have been one of my favorite bands and could not believe the people that never heard of you....... My wife had the same reaction 16 years ago when she asked me to go to a Stevie Ray Vaughn concert with Joe Cocker at Fiddler's Green in Denver, CO unfortunately 2 weeks later he was killed. But now I can take her to see you for the 1st time. She being my wife has never seen you live smile

I have loved Mahogany Rush for 30 years. I never got to see them, but maybe if they get closer to St. Louis, I'll make a road trip. I have been buying cd's of vinyl I own, and thought of the band. I have several, and could record them to cd, bu they are not all in flawless condition. anyway, I'm glad there is a website for them (love ya Frank!) Jack Klees PS if anyone wants to contact me, they can. jackklees@yahoo.com

What an unexpected and cool surprise to stumble onto your web site. Over the years I have wondered if Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush were still rocking. Now I know. Its been 27 years since I attended the one and only F.M. & M.R. gig that I have seen. It was in Sacramento, CA May 15 1980. Angel and Humble Pie opened up the show with your band headlining the evening. Now that I know about this web site I will keep an eye out for a F.M. & M.R. gig here in northern California. That would be a freaking blast to see you guys again after all these years. Good luck and keep on Rockn.

I'm pretty much an old man now, family kids, etc. But, I've never forgot any of your music - it struck a nerve with me years ago and still does to this day. Eventhough I don't have a machine around that plays records any longer, your records, along with some BB King, Jimi Hendrix, and CCR are about the only vinyl I still have. Guess I just couldn't part with some of them.

Thought I'd let you know that I like your newer stuff even better, and still buy your music when it comes out. I've mellowed with age. Kids will do that to you I guess. I was happy to read that you have three daughters that you love, still married to your wife, and sober. Mellowing with age ain't all that bad, in fact it's what keeps some of us fresh. I've thought about it, and as much as I loved my youth, I wouldn't trade what I've got now just to do it all over again.

Well, I hope you keep making music - would love to hear you play blues, accoustic, some jazz, even some more of the heavy stuff - all I ask is that whatever you play, you play it from the heart like allways. Don't make music for anyone but you and your family. That's where the really great stuff comes from.

I had already been a fan of Mahogany Rush before the first time I saw them, opening for Black Sabbath at Winterland in San Francisco in the mid -70's. From his first note I knew Frank was special. It was spell binding.

Over the years I have seen Frank live seven times. Everytime, I leave his shows with an uncontrollable smile on my face. I just can't believe anybody can perform their craft at such an incredible level.

Last summer I took my sister and brother to see Frank at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz. During the show my sister, who is not into hard rock, asked me why I hadn't told her how amazing Frank was. All I could say was " you wouldn't have believed me." We also ran into an old Frankhead that I hadn't seen in years. He had travelled 5 hours to see Frank again.

Except for Hendrix, I have seen almost every guitar god that rock and the blues have produced. I suppose it is impossible to say who is the best, but I can say I have never seen anyone that is better than Frank.

Thank you Frank for giving joy and exhiliration to us all.

My birth name is also Francesco Antonio. I was also born in Montreal, to Italian parents, in 1953, a year before you. And I remember seeing you very early on when you were known simply as Mahogany Rush, late 60s or early 70s in Montreal, at an outdoor concert. You were incredible. I cannot believe you are still playing and touring. Awesome. Cannot wait to see you in my new hometown, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Monday July 23rd. At Cat's Cradle. I'll come by and say hello. Invitation is open to you and band members for a plate of home made pasta and meatballs, some wine maybe...that's it. You guys opened for "April Wine", another local Montreal band. Those memory cells aren't all fried.
wink
