I just want to thank Frank for all the great playing he has done over the last thirty-some years. I saw Frank at the Warner Theater way back in the mid seventies and have followed him since.
Thank you Frank for bringing your music to the world!

Last night's show was incredible......can't find the words to describe it. Frank is in such fine form, he has the same spirit as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaugh when it comes to becoming one with the guitar. Best guitarist in the world..........and I've seen my share. Thanks for coming back to Sellersville Frank!!!!!!!!!! Hope to see you again next year!

I was at "The Birchmere" in Virginia last night and enjoyed an incredible show. As expected, Frank opened with a smokin 20 minute + "VOODOO CHILD" and continued to jam his ass off for three hours with no break.

Thanks for the songs, for some reason The King Who Stole The Universe lyrics have stuck with me since the 70's, I had not been able to find the record since I left it in the sun around 1979... , I looked in almost every record bin I stumbled across... Record bins? A thing of the past? Hope all is going good. You rock.

I've been a fan of Frank's music for many years, but never really took the time to get the background on him as a man. Thanks for the site, it's great and very interesting.smile

I have been surfing this web site, way cool. I read with intrest the "lowdown on the showdown" and even thoe Terrible Ted claims to be drug free, one has to wonder what he was smoking to think he could outduel the most complete gutair gunslinger past or present ! I really thought the way Frank handled the situation says alot to his fine charactor. Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush was without a doubt the killer support act that many headliners feared way back in the day ! I wittnessed them completly blow Black Sabbath off the stage back in 77 in sacramento cali..To be fair to Ozzie and boys, 3 songs into their set "techincal difficulties" prevented them from completing their set, no matter ot me, i went away from that thing a changed man...one day at a time.. smile

I wonder if Frank remembers any of the great gigs he did at the Tomorrow
Club in Youngstown Ohio? I do and still suffer from not seeing him perform in such an intimate venue. Thanks Frank
Looking forward to seeing and hearing you again

I just saw where you're going to be appearing at the Pittsburgh Blues Festival and it only heightened my desire to get back to my home town. I was a huge fan of yours back in the 70s and I'm sorry to say, lost track of your career.

I'm really glad to see that you're still recording. You were one of the favorite guitarists of myself and my circle of friends when I was a young buck.

I hope that you make it down here to Southwest Florida, at some point, because I've never seen you play a live gig and I would love to hear you work your magic.

All the best to your and yours, my friend!

Namaste,

Don M

A huge fan. I have tickets to his upcoming show next week in Alexandria, VA. I can hardly wait to see him again.

The first time I saw Frank & Mahogany Rush was at an old horse race track in West Virginia. He was the first band to play and it seemed hardly anyone there knew of these guys. As a result, I got to stand directly in front of stage. I could have reached out and grabbed his leg if I wanted. He was amazing. I even have a few pictures of that show that I need to locate, scan and post on here.

My brother, I had a chance to see Nazareth and Frank Marino opened up that concert in El Paso Civic center and I think it was in 1978 or 79. He did some cuts from the Live Album and I never heard of this guy and he had everyone in the place standing up. It was great time to see him again when he came back a year later headlining, doing cuts from "Tales of the Unexpected". To this day, I think of that concert and how much mystique this man possesed in the feeling and power of that Gibson SG. Those thoughts and reminiscing keeps me young at a time when everything was about to become heavily "80-ish". If you ever get a chance to talk to him, tell him El Paso was taken to the magic of what a concert should really be like. - Juan
