Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.
Mahatma Gandhi

Harmony of word and deed precede action. If the actions are pure then history resonates their shadows. Frank Marino is, and has been, underestimated as a guitar player for decades. But, I think, it is more important for him to realise that he is an outstanding guitarist. His fans never doubted it, the media moguls never doubted it. However, greatness has its prime fault - it is sometimes never widely recognised.

Frank Marino has always been the only real guitar hero. Uncompromising and creating a real and lasting legacy of awesome jams without feeding the mass media filter. Frank played The Colony Theater in Chicago in the 80's, my Dad owned it at the time and Frank was so cool. He inspired me to become the artist I am today. I was 13 years old and he let me play all his SG's backstage (Sorry Frank I play a G&L now but I learned on an SG!) it remains one of the coolest moments in my life. Frank Marino is the real deal and I will love his music forever!

Had the pleasure of seeing you twice long ago. The first time was at Giants stadium East Rutherford, NJ as an attendee. It was a 4 band bill, You, Journey, Aerosmith & Ted Nugent. I was blown away by your set.
The next time I was part of the stage crew (1979 or 1980). It was an all day multi band event at the Pocono Downs Race track In Pennsylvania. I remember hearing all this wild guitar coming out of the PA while we were waiting for you to take the stage. Then you came up the back steps and I realized it was you teasing the audience. I was crewing regularly then and you were the first person I had ever seen use a wireless rig. Of course your set was nothing less than excellent and I had the best seat in the house....an unused monitor wedge next to the stage right sidefill stack. Thanks for the great memories and mind blowing music.

Amazing guitarist and one of my influences. I saw you twice in the San FRANCISCO BAY AREA . 1979 I think , Day on the Green - Monsters of Rock and at a New Years Eve Show with Gamma and Marshall Tucker. You were incredible and the leads on I'm a King Bee and Tales of the Unexpected are beyond words. Thank You for a putting a smile on my face for the past 35 or so years I still listen to the live album, and tales of the unexpected album daily. Yes on vinyl and loving it. Thank You again Frank I hope to see you play again. I have a whole new generation that needs to experience YOU live , a one of a kind guitar phenom. Thanks for all the kick ass music . Tom
