Frank was such a huge influence for me in the 70's and 80's and helped me shape my skills as a guitar player. I am grateful and indebted to you sir.

I found no words for months to react on the devastating news about Frank's health. Yesterday I completed my vinyl F.M. and M. Rush collection and bought Real Live! Vol 2. It seems "Full Circle" now and decided to write this text. One of my guitar heroes since the Maxoom album who made one of the best rock albums ever: The Power of R'n'Roll. I painted the artwork on the giant window of my favorite home town pub as a tribute to Frank. Thanks for the beautiful music and thanks for the superb guitar solo's on every album. I don't believe in a real God, but my personal prayers are for Frank.....

So sorry to about your situation Frank...prayers going out to you. I saw you 3 or 4 times, my first encounter was on TV (Cal Jam 2) when I was 13. I saw you live on New Year's Eve at the Cow Palace in San Francisco in 1979. You were such a beast and the original shredder, as far as I'm concerned. You and Ted are who made me learn the Guitar, along with Ronnie Montrose and Michael Schenker. Hope and pray that you somehow enjoy your retirement.

Frank,
There has always been something magical about your music to me. I got turned on to Mahogany Rush when I was a teen ager back in the 70's by a local guitar hero of mine who had a 63 SG and played a ton of your stuff. The live album was going 24/7 in my car back then and I couldn't get enough of it. I've watched a few of you recent videos from what seems to be in your basement and you're such a down to earth guy. Your musical talent is more than quite amazing and thank you for every bit of it. I pray for whatever your current health issue is so that you will be well again. God bless you and your family.

Frank:

My prayers are with you my friend. The Live Album never left my soul. I just received the Live at the Agora being a boy from Ohio I could not pass this up.

Be well, stay strong and listen for that "gust of wind".

Bill

Sorry to hear of your malady. Hope you can recover. I was transferring my albums to digital and was recording Strange Universe, which made me look you up.....Great album by the way. I don't think I have a favorite album by you. They are all good. I saw you live in Portland with Black Sabbath and Montrose. I believe that was the best concert I've been to. Again I hope all goes well for you.

I am very saddened by the news of Frank Marino's illness! I would absolutely love to see him play live! I first heard the song "Strange Dreams" from the Juggernaut album when I was a teenager in high school and it has been a favorite of mine ever since! Unfortunately, I rarely; if ever get to hear it anymore since my album is out of commission (I did give it to my son's friend who works at a record store to see if he could clean it up)! I will definitely be purchasing the live performance blue ray! You are a guitar god in my eyes!

Love,
Victoria cool

I am very saddened by the news of your health issues. I have been blessed to see you live on three separate occasions. I have wanted to see you live again for many years. I will have to purchase the Live At The Ogora set to make that happen. I have loved your music and been a fan since the mid-seventies. I own all of your albums and am always looking for more. Thank you for your music for all of these many years. All of my hopes and support are with you. A true talent, like yourself comes along rarely. We are all grateful for everything that you gave us. Thanks again.

While I never had the opportunity to see Frank play in big arena's or outdoor venues I was able to see about a half dozen shows at smaller venues around the Detroit area. I must say that while other guitar players in other bands were good for maybe a 5 to 7 minute guitar solo Frank Marino went way beyond that in which he would perform better than 20 minutes because he truly loved what he was doing and was doing it for his fan base that couldn't wait for the next tour, I've been a fan since seeing him on television at the California Jam II in 1978 and seeing him live for the first time at Harppo's of Detroit. Frank, if you get a chance to read this I want to tell you how sorry I am to hear about your medical issues and your decision to retire, God speed to full recovery and I'll never forget your shows and the happily ringing ears that I had as I floated out of St. Andrews Hall and every gig in between. Best wishes Conrad Casper,... we'll live it up in the after-life...

Just watched Live at the Agora, absolutely incredible! It’s my favorite performance of yours now! Really enjoyed every minute of it, I wish guitar players played with this type of passion today. Wish you the best of health.
