Just listening to some of your tunes & remembering the days of the 70's !Bouncing around Austin when it was a really awesome laid back city.
It was a great generational living in the 70's enjoying all the great music........ and it looks like we are going to make it to 2010! WOW, sure did not live that way back then, never thought I would see 30,40 & now 52 yrs old! Far out!

Have a Great Grand Christmas,
JBird

smile Awesome Frank!!! Went to Lakeland show with Aerosmith and drove to Jacksonville the next night back in the 70's. As much as I wanted to see Aerosmith, you guys blew them off the stage and I was hooked. I was a singer in a Local rock band then... today, I have been a live audio engineer for over 30 years and have had much success touring all over the world. Thank you for your inspiration !!! I still remember the bending of the notes coupled with what back in those days might have been a Echo plex and the guitar solo was out of this world!!! Sounded like the Auditorium was blowing up!
Thanks Bro!! Let me know when you come down this way! Ray Bracken

Hey Frank, I hope this message finds you doing well...Have been a Fan for several decades now...Last time I saw you Live was probably mid-seventies in Houston...I am also a Musician ( Guitar Player ) We hung out I think in the Summer of 1974 Austin,Tx ...Ya'll were playing Armadillo Headquarters...Do you remember a Band called " Probe " ? Remember a Fellow Canadian named Kerry ? From those days...We all went out to eat in Austin & from what I remember were asked to leave..Your Body Guard if you will was pretty good at Martial Arts and could take a cigarette from your mouth with his toes Quite a Feat..We were Young then " Hey " . Really did enjoy the time the 2 bands spent together Jimmy on Bass was Cool . You and I had a discussion at the Hotel about Hendrix I too Loved him Much...I am 55 now and still playin',workin' & raising kids...Hope to see you play again someday ...Happy Holidays to You , Peace Rick

First concert ever. Frank opened for Blue Oyster Cult at the Shrine Mosque in Springfield MO. Basically the Live album played right in front of me. F**king amazing. I've seen everybody (and I mean, "Everyone") and Frank takes a back seat to no one. I wouldn't follow him if I was a guitar player. Would love to meet him. I've just bought Eye of the Storm and he's still unbelievable. "He's Calling". Damn good stuff.

Thank you, Frank.

Hi Frank I had your eight track back in Seventies high school. Saw you in concert in our local civic center arena. Just lately your music had been on my mind so I went to amazon and looked for your live album and just got it in the mail today. As I hear your screaming licks, I can picture you bending back with your long hair dragging the back of your boots. The seventies were a kicking time.

I agree with your reference about the angry music of today. My generation that grew up listening to You and Jeff Beck and Hendrix and Zappa were into smoking dope and tripping with a big smile on our faces in our long fringe jackets and buckskin boots, but today's kids and artists are very angry. They rage. I figure it is because our generation are sucky parents and single parents and have sired a generation that resents our self absorption. Fortunately, my own family is very close and my children are well- adjusted, happy and friendly.

Hope you tour around here again
best wishes,
Will

Just came across KingBee/Backdoor Man and remembered how much Frank influenced me musically. I got a chance to see him at Harpos in Detroit back in the 80s and would love to see him live again. One of my all time favorite musicians!

Frank has been in my life it seems forever. I am now 48. I even named my son after him. I didn't put a favorite album because there was not an "all" or "Every" entry. I met Zakk Wylde in 2005 and told him my favorite player was Frank. He gave me backstage passes and after his show we had a beer, he looked at me and I said great show, he said but no Frank Marino, right? I said right and we hugged. Never missed a show in Austin or San Antonio. I will love him til the day I die. Thanks Frank. Gary Neal
