Frank I had a couple of your albums back in the late 70's and saw you open for Styx in Louisville. I kind of re-discovered you and have been buying your cd's.
I play guitar also and think you are brilliant. I hope you can tour soon as I would love to see you again.

Remember playing at the Michigan Palace? WABX had a great line up. You, White Witch, Ghrahm Central Station and two other acts, all for 00 cents. ABX was 99.5 on the FM dial.

You were great!!

I have to say that I have been a Frank Marino fan for years. I play the guitar and love his individual style. The feeling in the songs and the mastery of the instrument is really what does it for me.

My 13 year old son has been exposed to your music ( by me of course) and he loves it. I'm a big Jeff Beck Fan and see a very similar feel in the music. I think that there are songs that you have written and performed that are classics!! Bar none!! King Bee Baby Live, Dragonfly has a beat that I can't stop listening to. I think I listen to your music five times a week and never get tired fo the licks!!!!

I wish all the best Frank and I wish I could could hear you live one day!!! From a fellow Canadian, God Bless and all the best!!!

Dear Mr. Marino,
It is an honour to play the guitar because that way I can be connected to you and a handful of other guitarists that matter.
You have been a constant source of inspiration from my first guitar to my humble second album. Thanks, and may God bless you and all dear to you.

I got to see Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush way back in the late "70's in Austin Texas. What a fantastic show. I remember most of that show to this day even with all the things we were doing while there. Been a great fan ever since but only now found this website. I thank Frank and the band for their music and what it does for me.

Hi Frank. It's early in the morning, I couldn't sleep, decided to get up and go on youtube and watch a few of your videos. I always find it inspiring (and humbling) to watch you play. I am a 49 year old guitarist and been playing since I was 17 and I wish God had endowed me with even a quarter of your talent and stage presence. I don't know if you still play/tour or not, but I'll be checking out your website more thoroughly for details. Enjoy your life and family, happy playing and take care!!!

Maxoom was the first album I bought back in 78, I saw Mahogany at the Birmingham Odeon UK in either 77 or 78! I remember being outside in the afternoon and heard the band rehearse Johnny B Goode.
I am the worlds biggest Hendrix fan-so Frank re kindled the faith in great guitar!. Keep it up .crazy

Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush - Awesome !

I've (probably!) never heard of them before, but the past week I've played the songs of "Dragonfly - Best of" pretty much, at home and at work - ppl around me ask what I play, I tell them "70's"...they end up carrying down their old vinyl players ffs !! laugh

Some of the songs sound familiar - like I've grown up with them ! I'm 42 soon, my music spans from early 80s heavy...don't recall any guys having Mahogany Rush! - or, the songs are so rooted in bone, they were there from the beginning !

Anyways, how's this idea for a band:

Frank Marino; Guitar - Frank is an ace in my book. There are hordes other gtr players/singers out there...but Frank is BEST suited for me; His attitute is: Give it all ! If it's blues, no real sad ones, We'll get you up ! I think there is an instrument named after Frank...Positive?

Jimmy Barnes; Vocals - This chap is pure power also, same age as Frank. Youtube him.

Bass and Drums from '72...bass was awesome..drums too ! Harwood and ayoub ! get them back !!! I've seen one youtube vid...harwood and ayoub were ..better than Frank wink !

For me, you have reached the same level of performances as Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and maybe better. I like you very strongly, like Nanette Workman like you.
It's good too see recent pics of you, and realize you look in good health.
Please stay in good health, if you want to see the most amazing, God's
"Cleaning Project" in the history, like me.. Take care Frank, and see you later.

I know the economy is suffering, but I believe that people would make sacrifices to see and hear you play live. The last time I saw you was at the House of Blues about four years ago. It's been way too long!!!! I'll help with the advertising for free!!!!!!!!

Been a fan since Maxoom. Hope to see you(the best) in Pittsburgh 2010.
Was at your Pittsburgh show a few years ago at the REX theater. You had a standing ovation as you approched the stage as well as for every pause in the show that evening. Took my son and was so glad to be at the show. He and his friends were flabbergasted.

I think it was 1975 in Sheveport when I saw the best concert of my life. I say I think because I did too many drug too. When people say they have never heared of you , I say that is your loss and my gain for being there that night. To me you are one of the best lead guitar players of all time. And you are right, I grew up in the sixties too, time was so much better then, now its all about how much you can hurt someone. So dude take it easy and if one day I will ever see you again then that will be my second best concert. Yeah David
