I first saw Frank in 1973 or 1974 (can't remember which) in the basement of the Cleary Auditorium in Winsdor, Ontario. I was with a dozen friends and we were ALL completely BLOWN AWAY by this unbelievable guitarist. Still shocked by the fairly recent (at that time anyway) death of Jimi Hendrix, none of us had a chance to see Jimi. Seeing Frank made us feel that we may have seen the next best thing !!! I have seen Frank twice since. The last in the 1980's sometime (again ....memory fails exactly when). I JUST ordered tickets online for his appearance at Barrymores here in Ottawa on October 11 and I AM PUMPED for it !!! Keep up the Power of Rock and Roll, Frank !!!!

Its great to see Frank back doing what he does and loves to do best. I met Frank and the guys Jimmy & Paul in 1972 and went on tour with them in Northern Quebec. These were the days when yes you had to carry your own equipment. My friend Pat Burrows was the offical roadie and I just had to meet the Band. I went to school with Jimmy at St.Kevins elementary and even them Jimmy was an incredible drummer and later went to MaryMount High with him. We became friends and later had an ooprtunity to be a small part of the incredible music and times that were the 70's. I was with the guys on tour when Buddy was recorded in a small studio in Quebec City called Coyotte. The 2 tracks on that single were cut in one day. Jimmy's drums were causing problems and we deafened the drums by taping J-Cloth to them. My idea big hit. Frank and the guys opened up a whole new world to me and I later got the photography credits on Maxoom. The shots were done in and around Frank's house then on Jean Talon in Montreal. I can only say that the whole experience then as a young man made me a part of someting special that I will never forget. Love the music keep on trucking Frank as we used to say. Thomas Reti

Hello everyone: I will just say that Mahogany Rush is one of the best three trios I have ever listened to (the other two being The Jimmy Hendrix Experience and Rush). There is no question about the greatness of Canadian Rock and Roll guitar players. Alex Lifeson (from Rush) and Frank Marino are (each within his own style) in the same level as legends such as American gone British Hendrix, and Englishmen Alvin Lee (from Ten Years After) and Robin Trower (ex-Procol Harum). I am looking forward to see F. M. & M. R. in concert in San Antonio, Tx., on November 11, 2000. Pedro Vilchis.

Sept 16th, 2000 Got my first Frank Marino album by mistake. My partents knew that I liked "some band called Rush", so for my next birthday I got a shiny new copy of a live album. Well it said the word Rush on it, so there it was. This from the same parents that bought me, "BT Express", of course confusing this with BTO. So I smiled and thanked them. Put it on, and waited. WOW, was the only way to descibe it. Just the intro alone and I was hooked. This album (still in great condition) is still in my top ten. Has been recorded on too many tapes to remember. I think it's time to buy the CD. I have now managed to get ahold of "World Anthem" and "What's Next", on vinyl. Even came with a turntable (aaahhh Analog), Of course I had to promise to replace them with CD versions. And now thnx to Wild Willy's page, I am saving up my pop bottles for the latest CD. Very good to see another talented Canadian, doing exactly what he wants. Glad to see you have survived all the changes in the business and have remained faithful to your fans. Now I just have to figure out how to get the wife, to let me get away for a night to go see you next time in TO. Doug

I HEARD CHILD OF THE NOVELTY WHEN IT CAME OUT. BEING A 17 YEAR OLD HENDRIX AND LATER ROBIN TROWER FAN, LISTENING TO FRANK WAS JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I HAVE MOST OF HIS ALBUMS ON VINYL, BUT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR CD'S. THIS WEB SITE IS JUST WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR. I WAS AFRAID THAT FRANK HAD GIVEN UP ON THE INDUSTRY AND STARTED FARMING OR SOMETHING. HIS MUSIC BRINGS BACK SO MANY GREAT MEMORIES OF A GREAT TIME PERIOD. I'VE ONLY BEEN FORTUNATE TO SEE HIS SHOW ONCE, WITH AEROSMITH IN COLUMBIA,SC, BUT I WATCH THE CLUB DATES HOPING TO SEE HIM AGAIN. MOST OF THE MUSIC NOWADAYS IS CRAP, BUT MY FRIENDS AND I ARE BIG FANS AND LOOK FORWARD TO NEW MUSIC FROM FRANK. THANKS FOR GIVING US SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO.

I had the most fortunate opportunity of seeing Frank Marino perform in concert in August of 1979 at the Boston Garden. Frank was the backup (and it should have been the other way) for Kansas. His first live album still blows my mind to this day over twenty years ago. I still believe that the greatest cover version of any song ever did by anybody was Frank's version of Johnny B. Goode. I am now approaching my 40th birthday and I've had teenagers asking me who this great guitar player is when I listen to Frank in my car stereo. I only wish that they could be more educated on this great guitarist. You're great Frank!!!

Saw Frank twice out in El Paso in the late 70s. First time he was the warm up band for Nazareth at a basketball gymnasium. The sound was terrible. The music was bouncing off the walls and you heard every chord 2-3 times. The second time was at a rock club called "Blondie's" on Lee Trevino Blvd. The sound was much better! Both shows were great. I got tired of "critics" always putting down Frank's music. Anyone who has ever tried to play electric guitar knows how talented he is and how much feeling he puts into his music. Thanks, Frank.

I get chills from that live version of Bottom of the Barrel. It is just too kickin'. I got the Tales of the Unexpected album as a teenager and have loved it since.

I love Frank's music because of the creative originality it holds. I love Frank's music because it reminds me of my fondness of the 'Late, Great Jimi' I love Frank's music because it is as if Hendrix still hung around through Frank. I love Frank's music because he is a great 'self-taught' guitar player and his God inspired soul is what drives him. I love Frank's music because it has mainly stayed different from others. I love Frank's music because....It ROCKS!
