I was introduced to Frank Marino by a brilliant guitar player named Jason Shibley, who swears by Frank's sound to the point of designing cabinets with 15" speakers matched to 12" - an outstanding tone with his many Les Paul and Strats - Jason uses a Mesa Boogie Stilletto but seeks the tone on the live records, religiously. I'm now a new fan at 40 years old. I play a 72 Les Paul through a Marshal - always - done 2800 live shows - always in pursuit of the tones in the live stuff - congrats on making a true mark on anyone who appreciates real. My next record is going to sound a little like Mr. Marino's tone - but let's face it - the magic is in the emotional outpouring of the hands. What I've heard is so powerful and overwhelmingly excellent that it has inspired me to write again. So put that in your pipe and smoke it! A million thank you's from one of your newer fans. Admiration and regards, Shawn Robertson, Canadian PGA (ya - kind of a pro now) aka, Shawn Kross - formerly of T.O. Joker/Hotel California/JohnnyQuest/Wrong 2 Wright/ Currently working as producer for The Krosswing Project and with OzzJovi, Tributes to Ozzy & Bon Jovi - a set of each - fun stuff!

Hi Frank, just wanted to let you know one more thing you really should know. Ted Nugent is down here running around Playing exactly your version of the Star Spangled Banner like you played on Don Kurshners rock concert program back in the 70.s I dont know if it bothers you or not but I know it disgusts your friends. The owner of the Dallas Cowboys football team likes it and thanks it Teds, and is flying him around to some major league games to open with it. You have a right to do something and probably get a huge monetary settlement and Embaress the guy for what he really is. I hope the administrator will forward this on the side to you. I was going to leave it in my previous sighn in a minute ago and forgot.
Joey Jones
You were and still are and always will be number 1. as the best guitarist of all time.

Hey Frank
You were and still are the best guitarist of all time. I listen to your music everyday for about 33 yrs at least once, usually about 4-5 times. I hope you actually read this. I am also a avid guitar player and music has saved me and also helped me out of bad times on lots of occasions. I don't know how I would get by without it.
Joey Jones
Your official, real, number one fan. I would walk from here to the namm show in california, stand in a storm or tremendous heat just to meet you and shake your hand. then walk home.

Frank, please allow me to introduce myself, I m a man of welth and taste.....
In the 80 's I was a young snob and rich man, 25-30 years old , having a Ferrari 328 GTI. With a fabulous extra sound batteries in it installed for playing with the ultimate kick,. . . .hardrock music wide open will driving wild. Going to the limit. One of my favorites was Frank Marino, (beside Sympaty f t Devil realy realy tempting for hard driving. . .) One night, on my way to Amsterdam , listening to Frank's music (I m a King Bee life vrsion) very loud, speed passing the 220 km/h , the sound of the motor like a formule 1 race car, a real trip. The car suddenly lifted up and flipped over in the air a few times. While in the air I heard the perfect guitarsound of Frank rolling and rolling and the time stood still and I thought that his music would have been the last think to hear in this life. When we hit the ground and again in the air, music stopped, and those 2 seconds before hitting the ground again, It went trough my brain that I would die with my fvorit music. And then ofte corse, everithing went black. I didnt die, I recovered quit well and quicq. I surfived miraculasly. daily this moments pas through my brain and daily I think a few seconds on Frank Marino, and now. . .so many years later, working on my organisation f the biggest ecological exhibition of Europe www.eco-cultura.com, in a moment of silence I typed in google, Frank Marino wondering if he still exist. . . . . . . and dicided to tell him this little story.

Hello, my name is Rod Harris and I heard about Frank Marino in the 1994 issue of "Guitar Player" in their tribute to the hard rock scene of the 70's. I heard clips of "Mona"and "Door Of Illusion" somewheres and ordered the album "Tales Of The Unexpected" which I hold in my hands and am about to crank up right NOW. smile

My older brother, Joe, introduced me to you in 78. He used to own Encore Enterprises and sold your Tee-shirts and stuff at all the concerts. I recently heard a song of yours and it re-awakened me to the joy of your music. Thanks ! live in northern Virginia and will keep an eye out for any coming shows.smile

I first heard about you from a buddy while stationed at Tinker AFB in OK City in 1978. I was hooked. I saw you in concert at the Lloyd Noble Center on the OU campus in Norman OK. I still can't quite hear well in my right ear. I didn't include a favorite album because I haven't heard them all, though I do like the What's Next album.

I always wondered why you were never "bigger" in the rock industry. I recently read an interview you did in the past and was surprised to see they asked the very same question. I was extremely pleased to see your answer was you weren't interested in compromising your faith for popularity. It's refreshing to see someone willing to stand up for what's right. Also to see how a believer can crank out some outrageous hard core songs that don't attack Christ or His principles, . Keep it up!

Please swing by San Diego on a future tour!

...HH
