Dear Frank, This is an honor to forward my respect and love for your talent and musical vision. I have been a devoted fan and inspired guitarist since I was the age 13 years old when I first saw you play on the seventies show Rock Concert. I can still see that show play in my mind as though it was yesterday. That moment was the single most influencial moment in my life-long quest to become an accomplished guitarist. The reality is that the quest never ends for musicians. We all follow the path to the un-attainable Holy Grale for our whole lives. In 1978 while in highschool in Rochester, New York I went to see you and Mahogany Rush live at the Auditoriam Theater. Absolutely mindblowing!! I feel blessed that I experienced that moment in my life. Truly unforgettable. I wish you would tour the US again. Your fans miss you! Thank you for listening Frank. God Bless. Sincerely, James Allan

I remember back in 78' when Van Halen broke out on the scene and all the people that I knew were stoked about Van Halen. Some friends of mine got together and jammed and a bunch of kids from my high school came over to party. After we got through jammin, someone said put on some tunes and a bunch of people started shouting Van Halen. I quietly slipped Frank's Live album and let her rip! There were quite a few people who were like, 'Who is this guy? He's a guitar God!' At least to this day, I think there are a few more Marino-ites in the world. Then there was the time I saw the 'Strange Universe' tour under the influence of Mr. Cid, but that's another story....Later

Me and my gang have been loyal to the man and his music since Child of the Noveltly. I have my favorite tunes and when I introduce them to new people, they dig it too. He must be from another planet. signed: Billy ps: Ted Nugent sucks

It is good to be able to know what happened to Frank. I always considered him a great influence on my playing style. Check out my sites and music and hear the influence of him in my stuff. Guitar rock is still alive and kicking in Los Angeles... if I can help it. Death to alternative, punk, or any other "flannel shirted, horned rimmed glasses, super geek, can't play so they worship any kurt cobain losers style of music"!!!!! Keep rockin' Sincerely, The Michael Jacques Band

Well, Frank can play so much better than the Kenny Wayne's and Johnny Langs. It is hard to believe that the public doesn't take notice of Frank. I picked up a Live album today and I was floored. Frank is certainly one of the greatest guitarists alive.

I'd just like to say that the new guitar is awesome. I am a personal friend of Robbie Bizzozero, (joint designer and builder of the guitar). While I live away from Eastern Massachusetts at this time, I haven't had a chance to hear the guitar, but I know if Robbie was involved with it, than it must have sounded just unbelievable.Robbie and another close friend, Paul Briggette (on drums) played many Mahogany Rush songs from their mid-seventies R&R bands. I did my drum tech gig for Paul, (you know, I'm with the band, man), and while Robin Trower cuts found their way onto Robbie's set list, it was the Mahogany Rush material that just blew me away. By the way, for those of you who haven't had the opportunity to hear Robbie play, wow! While he might have to take the passenger seat with respect to Frank, he doesn't take the back seat to anybody. Paul Briggette is like a drum machine (with balls, of course). He & I probably wore out a few cassette players rewinding to hear the unbelievable riffs of Frank's band, (who hasn't?). We all know why you can't hear much of FM&MR on the radio, because it attacks all of your senses and requires your cerebral cortex to get involved, (something that the radio stations can't pull off with their weak, limited corporate management vision. Enough of the politics. Frank, we need ya!Finally, "the answer to any problem can be found in the music, you just have to find the right song". Best personal regards, Paul Volpini

I like the orginality of his music and the feeling behind it. His live albums makes you feel like you are at the concerts.

Dear frank i only saw you once in new jersey at the jersey jam in 78, but i had been a fan ever since my high school days. I have been playing myself for over 24 years, opened up for many nationals and put out at least four records. I have never toured on a scale such as yours, but i can truley understand your frustration with the industry and what they call "good music". uli roth, holdsworth, yngwie, vinnie moore, robin trower, and you are all influences of mine. I hope that some day i will have the chance to see you p[lay live again in the new york area. 21 years is too long. Your agressive lead playing blew me away twenty years ago and i would put you up against anyone today. i especially love your appearance on the cal jam album. your guitar sound was incredible and oh how i tried to find out how you acheived that tone. anyway, its great to be able to send you something directly.you will always be a hero to me and with the sad state of guitar playing in the last nine years, we need you to come out and show how it should be done. take care gregg livesay

Frank is an Angel of Love and Fire sent down from Heaven to releave Master Jimi. Frank has torn my soul apart from the very start. With the exception of Ronnie Montrose, Frank Mario is one of the most underated guitar players of ALL time! When I was a young guitar player, everytime I thought about touching a guitar I wanted to play like Frank. Like all Gods of the past, Mahogany Rush always holds a special place in my heart. If you hear one of Franks tunes in your head, YOU HAVE TO grab that CD pronto mister. I had the first honor of seeing Frank in 1978 open for Aerosmith. It was the most spectacular thing I had ever seen a guy do with a guitar live! Eddie VH was new kid on the block, but Frank proved he was the still the Master. Man, poor Aerosmith that night! They were backstage drinking like fish and Frank was raising the roof with "Reflections of War"! Hendrix's spirit always spoke strongest through Franks soul. Frank has the lightning and the loud Marshall cabs! A Mahogany Rush show in 78' was the way going to a concert should be. Just take out the sex and drugs. And you got a big chunk of Marino Rock n' Roll mate! Frank is the greatest blues player around as well. I think it's time to teach the new dogs an old lesson Frank'ster! Get out your lefty hockey stick and let one rip for the team. No matter where you are brother. I'll always be playing your music and telling people about the greatest guitar player in the world. Frank Marino is truly the Frank Mahovlich of Rock n' Roll!

First, I must give Willy all my best on the second anniversary of this great site again where true fans can express their views. It is a testament to a true talent and even though we may NEVER get to see the next album (dig..dig..Frank), this will never diminish the impact that Frank has had on my life.I must also say that the post to this guest book by Kent Maas expresses much of what I wish to say. MOST IMPORTANTLY, even though I am a very dedicated fan who has travelled 3000 miles to see Frank on one of his only 2 appearances with his own band over the past 6 years, my dedication pales in comparison to the work done by Jim Glynn and Rob Bizzozero on the guitar they built and delivered to Frank on August 1, 1999. The dedication and craftsmanship that has gone into this guitar I truely hope is as good as their hearts intended. This is the ultimate form of tribute and honour at the same time to be able to build a guitar for your guitar hero (and mine!). And especially to see him play it. Man, history in the guitar world is passing before your eyes and you guys know it. Credit must be given where credit is due and this gesture is one I will never even TRY to match. Jim and Rob, good on ya man, and God Bless!!! Frank, I hope their work inspires you to finish your album soon, but I will totally understand if you go back to do another take on the album to at least include at least a solo from these guys on the real thing. John Francis.PS: I am working on a little Frank project of my own right now I can't really talk about but I surely hope it yields as good results as my heart intends. L8R

Dear Frank (and his fans!)- I first heard of a band called Mahogany Rush in 1974. At the time I was living in Tucson, Arizona, but I was visiting my family in Ohio. A concert promo came on the local FM station for a concert for a guitarist billed as "the living reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix." the song was "All in Your Mind" from the Maxoom album. My visit ended before the concert, but as soon as I arrived back in Tucson I started my search for this album. It wasn't exactly easy to locate, but I did manage to find it at an avant garde record shop called Hot Rocks. I also found an album with a very unusual cover called "Child of the Novelty." I immediately went home and played the albums......and I became a devotee at that moment. I recognized the style and phrasing that led many to call Frank a Hendrix clone, but I felt there was much here that was very original. His music came from the heart, but it also came from dedication and many, many hours of hard work. Shortly thereafter, I was thrilled to find a third album released that year. It was the Strange Universe." I believe it was here that Frank, Jim and Paul really started to come together as a band. Well, I won't go on and on about every album you have released, but I would like to thank you for your music. I would especially like to say thanks for your great lyrics. It is a pleasure to hear music that has value beyond a sexy girl or the next party. Songs like " Madness" or "Story of a Hero" have words of wisdom for us all. I haven't seen you play since 1982, when you played Compton Terrace just outside Phoenix. Even though I am in my mid-forties, I haven't lost my love for your music. Please tour again, or barring that,a new album. I would like to see if your evolution into the forties matches mine! Thanks again, Kent
