Hello Mr. Marino!! First i would like to wish you a happy birthday!! I hope you and your loved ones are well. I wish columbia records would release the rest of your catalog on cd!! They are such assholes not to!! I hope your new album will be out soon!! I am in dier need of a "fix" of new Marino music!! The day i brought home my new 100watt marshall stack [in83] i also picked up your Juggernaut album. I was so blown away that i had to listen to the record a second time before "unveiling my new virgin Marshall!!" You never play "Stories of a Hero" live. That is one of my alltime favorite songs!! How come you never play that one? It has so much feeling to it. I often thought that you Knew the people in the song and it was to painful for you to sing. I love the vocals on that song!! God Bles You.Thank you for so many fond memories and such great music. Your fan forever, Marc

First things first: Happy Birthday, Frank!!! Second things second: Thanks to Wild Willy for the killer FM&MR website and serving as our "voice" to Frank!!! I've been in the US Air Force since 1971, and at the time, in 1974, when I was sent from Thailand to North Dakota, I thought that my life, as I knew it, was over. But a few good friends and partying to killer music made those cold, sub-zero days and nights bearable. And that's where I bought Child of the Novelty--never had heard anything by FM&MR, but based on the cover artwork and having read the "Jimi Hendrix/Frank Marino Myth" in some 'zine (BTW, always have been and hope I always will be a JH fan!)--and "discovered" FM&MR for myself. Frank, you may consider "Child" to be a phase in your career that you would just as soon forget, or you may be working on "Child II," I don't know, but it's still my favorite. First time I heard it, it ripped my head clean off!!! So North Dakota didn't kill me...And it did turn me on to your music; been following your musical progression and buying your albums (and then upgrading to CDs) over all these years. Like most folks, I was pretty bummed to hear someone destroyed your early album master tapes, but at least she didn't destroy your legacy. Still looking for Juggernaut on CD and salivating at the prospect of your new album! BTW, is "Mahogany Rush" "dead"? Will the new album be by "Frank Marino"? Or will the new album be by "Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush"? And please, any idea on release date? God, a double CD of music that you've been building since your earlier days up to now...WOW! That's my music fantasy!!! Take Care! Best Wishes to you and yours! Happy Birthday! And remember that you've still got a hard core base of fans that'll always support you! Mikie sends

Hi Frank: Just to wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY on Friday. I think you should have marked this occasion with the release of your new album....or even let all your loyal fans know of an exact release date. I listen to at least one track off your brilliant albums every day ...usually the 1st music I listen to each morning at breakfast and last thing at night. Lets get the album out, get on tour and show those youngsters who are getting so much air time what a REAL guitarist sounds like. Great to hear you blowing Kenny Wayne (good as he is ) away on the recent Bryan Lee album too.The only person that comes close, for me, to your talent is Popa Chubby ...but even then he is some way back ! I recently emigrated from Scotland to Calgary and having been your No1 UK fan since 1977, I am embarrassed to say I have never seen you ...I want do this before I die ! So come on Frank give us all what we want ...the NEW ALBUM and A TOUR....."WE AIN'T DEAD YET"

Hey, happy birthday! I started listening to your music in 1983, when I first heard the song "Free" on the radio late one night. I loved the apocalyptic interlude. I later had a co-worker who turned me on to more of your stuff. I am a guitarist also (although not professionally), and by 1985 or so, I had pretty much dropped guitar playing and given up on it. Then I went to see you in Washington DC, at the Bayou, and the next day, I picked up my guitar again for the first time in years and have bene playing steadily ever since. I love the spiritual aspects of your music -- they reach deeper than mere words and categories! You still remain my favorite guitarist (along with Tony Iommi -- loved it when you both appeared on "Guitar Speak") and your playing always sends a shiver up my back! Ever do anything with Robin Trower?

Happy Birthday Frank and a heartfelt wish for many more. Hope to see a new album from you in '99' and I'm begging here, please, please, please come to western Canada next year. Here in Calgary we have this Jazz festival during the late spring. The thing isn't restricted to only jazz, great guitarist's from other styles also play. I seen a fellow from Saskatchewan (Jack Semple) who was a fanatastic blues artist the guy was humbling to watch and listen to.John Scofield was also up here although I'm not a big jazz fan it was great to go and watch (got a table right at the centerof the stage in the club). Hope I haven't rambled on to long, once again Happy Birthday!

I think that Frank is the most under-rated guitarist!!!!!!! I wish he would continue to tour so us fans could still watch him play his music live and in person!

It was your story and your music that helped me straighten out my life about a decade ago. I bought an SG and played it to forget my troubles. I did this as I vaguely remembered your story back in the early 70s, there were no publications or web-sites around then about your story and music. There were only the LPs and the notes on them. I thought you had somehow disappeared. But I still think about your music every day and I have been for many years. Every cell in my body is in tune with your music when I listen to it. I thank Willy and all the people who have created this medium. Its nice to see that your still there Frank........From one of your most adoring fans....4eyes

I used to love to ride around in my Camaro, get stoned and jam to 'What's Next' and 'The Power of Rock-N-Roll' tapes.

Frank Marino is my favorite. Seen him in concert 10 times. When he comes back I'll see him again and again. As long as he tours I will continue to see him. His music is great. I am 42 years old and still listen to his music LOUD AND PROUD. So loud my wife leaves the house. LOL (Laugh Out Loud). A true Frank Marino Fan Ken
