I named my pet Merino sheep after Franky. To be quite Frank his music is nothing short of sublime. The CD cases I own of his are kept in a Mahogany CD rack.

Hi Frank and Willie, I've been breakin' out all my MahoganyRush LP's lately and I'm star struck all over again. Please Frank get a new collection of your music genius out for all of us to renew the excitement in our souls. You are incredible. Willie you have created a web site that exposesseveral things: a) You are obviously a very insightful person I would love to meet. b) Frank's past critics got off on some Jimi Hendrix tangent. Who cares? It's great songs that count. Frank writes and plays masterpiece music. c) I never knew there was so many Frank M. fans until this site on the net. It is a blast that we can finally express ourselves over those old critics. Hey critic, WHO ARE YOU? dickhead.

1975, a young man, musician, and essentially floating around life after high school. I was playing drums for the Elliot Brothers, A guitar oriented band playing anything from Chet Atkins to Jeff Beck to Jimi. It was in this period that I became very aware of the fact that I wanted to learn more about guitar playing. I heard an album at my brother in laws home. I asked him if this music was a "lost Jimi album", to which he answered, "No man, it's a group called Mahogany Rush". WOW!! I learned this album was called "Child of the Novelty" I bought it, and I just fell in love with the sound. This made my decision to pick up the guitar and seriously pursue it's mysteries an easy one. Frank Marino actually helped shape my future, and continues to be a positive influence in my life today. I've not done as well with my musical career as Frank has, but there's no denying who my main influence is. I could go into detail, but it would take eons to say it all. Frank and I seem to be connected at the Spirit. I'm so happy that someone (Willy) is making a superb effort to garner the attention for Frank that he's always deserved. I swear that I'm the "Being Whos Seen What He's Seen, and He Knows He'll Find Me Someday" I hope that's not being too presumptuous, but I've always felt that way. I know I'll always play the way I do because of Frank Marino, and you know, I'm proud of my work, whether it's on a large scale or small. Frank Marino, what a great musician, and a genuine human being. Thank's for the music, also thanks for standing up when the powers that be try to bring you down. That ain't gonna happen. God Bless You! Anthony Barker RRIFFS

Frank is the best songwriter, singer, guitarist in the world. THATS IT I mean "lady" "aint dead yet" "chains of pace" "long ago" he can play and write in all the styles that exist in music. I have tons of Marino stuff but i never get tired of he`s music because of the variation i just talked about. A couple of years ago i thaught i was the only marino fan in the world but now i realize there is plenty of them. Marty Fridman . Zaak Wylde , Mike Amott. they all got Frank Marino as their hero. And Frank you got many fans here in Sweden so you must come here and play (it`s to expensive to go to Canada otherwise i should go there to see your shows) And why not play some stuff from "world anthem" and "the power of rock and roll" its not often you do that. I heard that you played "try for freedom" in a show recently . please play that song when you play in Sweden, because thats the most beautiful song i`ve ever heard. But i really love ALL your stuff so the rest is up to you. Frank i cant thank you enough your music have change me (in a good way) And thanks to WILLY who helped us to get Franks music back in light where it belong. Erik Petersson

HEY, Frank is the most happening of guitarists to ever scorch the fret board. I'm just waiting to listen to the genius entries on the Juggernaut disc. Hell, I can't wait. In the mean time I jam to the mind blowing stuff on Full Circle, LIVE, Tales of the Unexpected, and Dragonfly. I need to expand the collection. They just ordered some stuff for me at the local Zia Records and all I can do is wait. Listen and have fun with your friends!!JD

Just the crispness of the guitar sound and the hard-driving rhythyms of the rest of the band. By and large the greatest guitar talent ever, standing shoulder to shoulder with Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I have only had the honor of seeing Frank once live (or otherwise) and thatwas in 1977 or1978 in the Omni in Atlanta, Ga, Frank warmed up for Nazareth, while they were in thier heyday, and Frank began to dismantle the minds of the Atlanta crowd. Actually my favorite tape or album of Frank was provided to me by former Ted Nugent singer/guitarist/friend, Derek St.Holmes. It"s a live copy of the entire California jam 2 concert. Frank , Dude you need to include Atlanta on your iteneriary. Also chat with Derek on his website, maybe ya"ll could hook up and teach this generation X what real music is.

Hey Frank, caught you at "Lulu's" in Kitchiner, Ontario. You opened for B.T.O. It was obvious that the crowd was there to see B.T.O. Only a handfull of people, maybee one hundred, got onto the floor to watch you up close. This was one of the bect highlights of my concert going career. I was easily able to get close enough to spit on you. Not that I EVER would!!! I don't know why, but it took a chance question by a of a friend to finally hear your music. I went through the whole seventies not knowing your name. My friend Marshall asked one day after seing my music collection, "Where's your Frank Marino albums ?". I said "Who"? With this he took me to his place and we listened to every album of yours he owned. He has quite a few. We were up all night. I'll put your show in a close second with one of Frank Zappa's last few shows he performed at Shey Buffalo. I wasn't up close but seeing him was always a BIG dream of mine and I was fortunate enough to see him before his demise. Thanks for listening,Chris Rickards

I remember when i was a kid my friends & I thought Frank Marino & Mohogany Rush are the greatest. We would tell people about them play the tunes, Then in well i think it was `77-78 Frank & co backed up Nazareth here in Vancouver it was GREAT !! Frank blew those bubble gum Nazareth guyz away. Then in the summer of `78 Frank & Mohogany Rush played live at Cal jam 2. This was a live broadcast on public TV. with Santana,Ted Nugent,Aerosmith,&others This was absolutely excellent. Ive been a fan for a long time and proud to say Frank is one of the Greatest guitar players, music composers ever & he is Canadian... Please Frank make it easier for us to get ALL your CD`s Take Care Frank hope to see you & the Band Back on the west coast soon.
